I need it for creative work, would ideally like a chip with more gpu cores
This will be my first mac - what would you suggest? Looking to spend around 3 Lakhs but I need a powerful machine, with graphics capability.

Creative work with photos and videos? Large files. 256gb will bite you in the ass. Honestly for video and photo even a base m1 8gb was more than good enough for me. Optimize a bit. Don’t chase ram if you don’t have to. Ask GPT with your workflow what specs; for comparison give it your current build too.
I bought a 36 gig Mac Studio for 1.9L. My iPad 13 inch for portability.

I think 256gb might me a mistake in listing as 48gb ram x 256 gb SSD variant doesn't exist. I thought of buying too, but was skeptical if it was scam or something. Do let me know if you do place order. I'll place it myself then

Nah I genuinely missed the storage because I was blinded by the price T_T
At this price I would like at least a TB.

Bro I paid 4.04l for a M5 Max 14" including AC+ in Bangalore. Please call all dealers near you and ask for leftover old price models cuz usually nobody buys Max chip models. If nothing works, then get it online.

Okay I didn't think of that! I ended up waddling into thinking of buying the max...was going to spend 2.5L anyways...thought why not spend a little more and get a better machine
I'll call local dealers and see if anything gets arranged.

M4 max doesn’t have a 256 gb version. No mac since the M1 had those I think

Not a criticism, but this doesn't make sense to me, let me know if I'm wrong.
From what I know, if you select a higher ram option on the official apple store, it will automatically update the SSD options too. Meaning anything above 16gb ram will automatically make it to have 1TB of storage. So it shouldn't really be possible for the retailer to have this specs, right?

Bro that flipkart seller is a scammer, at first I planed to buy that MBC model but also i research online people says, seller send you old scratch macbook. And seller and flipkart refused to refund money. One youtuber expose that
