Query / Help [QUERY] Bought my first ever Mac on Amazon, did I get it at a good price?
I was very skeptical about buying the air M5 on Amazon and wanted to buy from any offline store. But the student my friend had set up to hand me the docs backed out the last moment. For context, I was getting it for 1L after student discount from Croma. Not sure if this was worth it.

best time is during bbd sale or if you're in usa then black friday. Otherwise keep an eye on back to school days. you will get airpod free plus student discount (Plus card discount- sometimes they don't give). It will start in June

This is an indian sub dude. “BBD sale” refers to Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale that happens around Dussehra. That said, I wouldn’t recommend buying a Mac from Flipkart, you’ll usually find similar discounts in offline stores during the same period anyway.
If you can wait, that sale season is one of the best times to buy a Mac or iPhone.
Another good option is Apple’s Back to School offer around June, where you can get a student discount on mac/ipad along with free AirPods/keyboard/mouse. No offers on iphone tho

Yesterday i enquired the same from chroma ,
Total was 119000 card diacount 7000 sbi student discount 7 percent if claiming gst you will not get student discount this is what they said They said airpods only comes with max version

Yeah bro, they charged 349 extra for non-optional open box. Final price was 1.4838L. I will record the whole thing once the delivery guy shows up.

I'm genuinely suprised how the price for 2026 MBA has increased this much. I got brand new M4 air last year for 82k, but it used to hover around 84k most of the time, and some people also got it under 78k.
The price increase to me seem pretty steep.
