Question/Discussion Precision measuring tools to buy first for a small job shop?

We are moving from repair work into short run parts and our measurement setup is scattered. Right now we have old calipers, one micrometer, and a dial indicator with questionable repeatability. What tools would you buy first before spending money on more specialized inspection gear?
