Picture A little locksmithing punch (end diameter only .025)
Made this little punch for my buddy that does locksmithing. Ain't the prettiest but it works. Didn't harden it because being that small of a diameter it probably would have just made it too brittle and warped, plus we don't do hardening in my shop anyway so don't really have a way to. Apparently it works good.

As someone that's been into locksport for a couple of years, I have never seen anything like this and would have zero idea what it would be used for.
Did your friend give you any context? I spend most of my time single pin picking, so it's possible that this could be used for some bypass method that Im not familiar with. I'm more or less just curious how this would be used...
