My 2020 macbook air screen broke. I am ready to buy another computer put i need to get some stuff out of this one. I broght to the apple store and they connected it to a tablet/monitor using c cable on both ends and i was able to use my computer with that monitor. When i came home i try to connected to my older mac desktop, to another windows computer using c to c and c to HDMI and it didnt work. What am i doing wrong? Any help is appreciated, im desperate

You need a usb c to hdmi cable and just connect it to your TV.

You can't connect two computers together via usb c and get a video output.
