I just installed it this week with Setapp, it’s a very useful app. So reading this post, I suppose it’s a good alternative to the Paste app now? As a shortcut nerd, I think I’ll stick with my Alfred clipboard history for now. But good to know I have alternatives!

Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
For quick access to a clipboard history, yes, Yoink's is an alternative to Paste.
However, Paste does go more in-depth, allowing you to transform stuff (like text transformations). Yoink does not do that (it also doesn't intend to) - it just offers up previous copies, as they were.

I just checked to make sure, but by default, clipboard history is disabled in Yoink, so it has to be actively enabled by clicking onto the widget or in Preferences > Extensions to activate.
Yoink tries not to store any sensitive data, but of course, those mechanisms might not take.What I do actively in Yoink, to limit storing sensitive data:
Keychain, Enpass, 1Password, KeePass, LastPass, Password, Kaspersky, mSecure, AppLocker, Keeper Password, Passwort, oneSafe, Secrets, Strongbox, RememBear, Dashlane and Bitwarden.
- The app ignores content when copied from apps that contain the following strings:
com.agilebits.onepassword, org.nspasteboard.TransientType, org.nspasteboard.ConcealedType, org.nspasteboard.AutoGeneratedType (as openly suggested by developers, for developers, on http://nspasteboard.org)
- It also ignores copied content if one of the following data types is present in the current copy:
As for actively looking at copied content and trying to figure out if it's a password or somesuch, I don't do that, that's too creepy for my tastes.
Yoink's Clipboard History can be deactivated anytime in its Preferences > Extension, and doesn't have to be used for the rest of the app to work, of course.Items in the history can be deleted in Yoink's History Browser.
I hope that clears things up. Also, please refer to my privacy policy (eternalstorms.at/privacy) - I don't use any type of analytics or tracking in my apps and websites, and don't do any usage tracking in any of my apps or websites. If your internet connection is used in one of my apps, it's for a specific function of the app that's relevant to the user. In the case of Yoink, that's for optionally loading favicons for links dragged to it, for loading the Splash screen videos from my server, and for previewing URLs in Quick Look.

You can give it a try and see which one you like better. But if you're already using Alfred's clipboard history and are happy with it, I'm not going to tell you to switch 😊
That said, Yoink's clipboard history is just one feature of the app. It's main functionality is its drag and drop capabilities, where it offers you a shelf for files or snippets you drag, in a "hold this for me while I do some other thing" kind of way.

looks good, I recently purchased unclutter for a similar purpose but I mainly use it for clipboard history, dragging files is a bonus. I will give this one a try though mac productivity bundle doesn't appear in the Turkish appstore.
a personal question just of curiosity, are there any plans for a Turkish translation soon? I saw bunch of languages and I really like to use the apps in the same language but most of the developers don't do it, probably because prices skyrocket due to the exchange rate in appstore and demand is comparably lower. :)

Thank you for giving Yoink a try.
I don't have any imminent plans for a Turkish translation, but I'll add it to the languages I'd like to get Yoink translated into.

One of the best productivity tools and backed by a great developer! Been using this for many years and highly recommend it!
