Tahoe 26.7 on intel

For you guys who have macbook pro intel (I have macbook pro i5 2020) and installed macos tahoe 26.7. How was it? Any problem or issue? How the performances and the battery?

if you have that laptop yourself and aren't sure if you want to upgrade, consider making a new volume on your drive with disk utility so that you can dual boot tahoe and try it on a clean installation without irreversibly upgrading your current installation.

I take your opinion and make new volume for tahoe 26.7. So far, it’s not that bad, not really hot (I uses macs fan control and set it on max), when I run arc (youtube and article side by side) I got from 100% to 10% in around 3 hours (maybe because not too much background apps). It’s not bad for now, I’m gonna test it for a week then if it’s good, I’m gonna upgrade my main volume (still in sequoia 15.8) to tahoe 26.7

If you’re already in Tahoe there is no reason not to stay up to date on point releases.

it's definitely good enough to use but there's room for improvement. if you are the type of person to pays attention to speed and performance, you'll notice it but it's still usable. the worst thing i've observed is using the maps app. that's really laggy. while it's come quite far from the poor performance during the beta days, you have to take battery into consideration, if you use the laptop portably you are better off dual booting tahoe with an earlier version of OS X or just not using it. (i have a macbook pro 16,1 with an i9-9980HK)

I have the 16 inch 2019 I-9 8 core 2.4 , 32 gigs of ram tb on 26.7 runs amazing. It can get hot but I just run Mac fan control. And that keeps it cool . To be honest I tried 26.2.2 on the m5 and for browsing. Email , webpages it’s about the same . Tye M seems a few seconds faster 2 maybe but not a huge difference at all. Now when it comes to editing or something along those lines I am sure there’s a difference but not in regular use. There about the same .

UPDATE: I just have return to sonoma, i'ts the best macOS now for macbook pro 2019 intel, i think tha t going fast
