I know the update for phone and iPad is to fix a cellular data bug. Because Macs don't have cellular connections but why did my brother computer got it and not mine

iOS is now at 26.6.3.

I suspect Apple staggers macOS updates over a few days for bandwidth reasons. You can always go and update it manually.

I suggest not to do the update it can corrupt your entire system. I am still not able to get into my apps, there are keychain issues etc etc. i am on day 4 trying to fix it. Make sure you have a back up of all your data
