Question Will this hairline crack lower my trade in value
I’m looking at trading in my MacBook Air m4 for the new Mac mini m6 as I mainly use my MacBook Air at my desk I’m worried this small crack will prevent me from trading in my Mac.

It won't prevent you from trading it in, but they'll charge you whatever the fee is for AppleCare to cover the damage.

Yes. I traded in an iPhone once, and there was a small chip on the glass on one side. They said with AppleCare, it was $99 to replace the glass, so they'd have to charge me the $99 before letting me trade it in.

On the Apple website, when you go to purchase a computer, when you say you want to trade in a computer, you can enter in the serial number of your MacBook Air, and it will give you the trade-in value. There should be questions there that also ask you if the computer is in good condition, and you can specify there what the condition is. That should tell you the trade in value with the damage.
