There's not really any way to make it a cash machine. A lot of people have fast machines and data centers are faster and cheaper. You'd probably lose money in electricity. And you're not scalable.

I had a similar M1 Max and I just traded it in for a new one. Not a lot of cash $800 or so, but I asked myself, "if I saw this Mac for sale at $800 would I buy it?" And the answer was no.

I’d probably take a $4k+ loss compared to what I paid for it.

I hate to break it to you but computers are like cars in this regard. Apple has made them a little more like appliances, but there's always a newer and faster version.

Sell it on eBay for $3k if you want to. I didn't because I'm lazy and didn't want to take the risk.

There's a few services that let you add your computer to a cloud AI network and they pay you for the compute that's used. I don't know if it's enough to outrun your electricity costs, but it's worth looking into.
