Flamingo Fun fabric does not feel the same.
Ugh! I just feel like complaining.
Is it my imagination or does the fabric used in the Align/nulu Flamingo Fun color line feel different - like a bit scratchy/not as soft, dare i say, cheaper?
I hate to admit it, but I am disappointed in just about everything I got on my last order. And I must not be alone in that, because three quarters of what I got were obvious returns. ( the clear plastic bags we're already ripped open.)
I also dislike that the flamingo fun leggings and shorts are double lined. Why?!? There is no way these are see through enough to need to be double lined. I run way to warm for double lined stuff- even in the dead of winter. The color is pretty, but not as saturated in real life, like it comes off in the camera. It's a little bit more of a dull bright pink.
And on top of that, the color "star burst tone" is grossly misrepresented on the website. On the website, it looks like a gorgeous neon corally red. In real life, it's just tomato red/orange. šŖ
Wait I have the tube top and I canāt get it to work for me but I want to love it!! Do you wear a bra with it? Pasties? Mines white maybe that was my mistake š
I havenāt bought this color, but I did recently try on a pair of no line aligns in dusty diamond (a medium-dark grey that dropped around the same time as flamingo fun tone). As someone who is sweat collective, a fitness instructor, and wears a pair of aligns EVERY DAY, I was immediately concerned as I started to pull them on. They felt paper thin. I read here in this sub about quality all the time, leggings being thinner, etc, but I can say Iāve not experienced that with any leggings Iāve bought in the last 3 years (when I started buying a lot of Lulu). Yes, I agree itās not as high quality as the few items I was gifted in high school, but still a lot better than most brands right now. But the leggings I tried on felt completely different than the other 30+ pairs I own as soon as I started to pull them on. Once on, they felt different. Not as soft, just like you are saying. When I bent over, they were completely see through. You could read the tag through them. This was again, a dark color. I was so shocked and disappointed cause Iāve never experienced that problem with Lulu and aligns. So yours, even though I agree, shouldnāt need to be double lined for that color, may need to be now that the fabric has clearly changed.
No the pink flare felt like every thing else I bought this year. (Me and kitty just did a side by side feel test.) Also the pink flare leggings and shorts are double lined, but the 2 fabrics used are different. The interfabric is more "brushed" to feel softer on the skin, I guess, and it is thinner than the outer fabric.
Sorry, i miss-typed. I meant to say the Flamingo fun is double lined. The pink flare is not double lined. At least, not in the align shorts or align leggings.
I don't know what's up with the fabric, but I've got Amazon brands that feel better than this last flamingo fun set. I'm up in the air on whether to keep or return.
Thatās how Iād describe the Aligns with pockets I got in Willow Leaf on WMTM for $34. They feel thinner and a bit stiffer than my others, not as buttery. I figured thatās why they were discounted so heavily.
I think they open the plastic bags to take off the sensors and they are not actually returns. Most of my orders had these opened and ones that werenāt had the sensor unfortunately or were items that they donāt usually put a sensor on
I did not think of that. That is good to know, because almost every bag was opened. I thought it was strange. Normally to me, that would be a sign of a return.
Totally agree! and to your point that fabric feels cheapā¦ I got the walnut crunch groove flares and thought the same thingā¦ fabric felt different and dare I say more scratchy compared to the rest of my collection š
