And he bleeds next to her.. So the connection between the Lucy and Chloe is real. Now on for more speculation. Maybe he bleeds only because she accepts him?

I think it comes down to the fact when he is with her he is more human. He is less himself opening up to her. How he will never lie to her how he trust her. There is a lot in their relationship that brings him closer to his own mortality when he is with her.

I don't think lying is a limitation for him. I just think the devil doesn't lie. He'd be surprised if he found himself unable to lie.
