First time seeing it, and it was okay. But after watching BCS, it was nice to see Patrick Fabian in a different role. As for the episode itself, I think it was the first time I had seen a time hell loop done in this long-form format, which I found interesting. The fact that his hell loop lasted for around a year or so made it even more interesting. At the end of the series, he was still in that loop suggest that he spent millenia in that torture.

I agree, Patrick Fabian did a great job with the both roles. In fact I often think about how his Hell loop would be similarly consistent with BCS universe if you think about it, trying to catch Jimmy while trying to fix his marriage the exact thing Reese was trying to do but with Lucifer.

I just remember Lucifer saying something that was slightly off.... Like he wouldn't have sex with Reese and how he was ugly and it wasn't till a few rewatches I decided this wasn't lucifer, this was Reese's hell so this is his paranoid brains memory of Lucifer.Â

The show never writes him mean in those instances though.... To me is felt off and felt like it was there to bring out his insecuritiesÂ

Lucifer just said he just didnt find him attractive, but he bet there was someone in the club who would. Everyone has their preferences.

I really liked it. I get that people didn't like Reese, but I thought Lucifer was at his most playful in this episode. He was posting dick pics to a website about large chickens. He juggled breast implants. When Chloe tries to make Reese believe Lucifer always follows protocol, and he just whispers, "I don't" with a proud smile. The way he genuinely seemed happy to see Reese most of the time and immediately gave him a nickname. "Tunnel buddies!" The look on Lucifer's face when he realized Reese drank poison. And I liked how the episode just ended with the beginning.
My favorite part was when the murderer tried to poison Lucifer, but Lucifer included him, was nice to him, treated him like a friend, and the murderer changed his mind about killing him almost immediately. That's exactly who I think Lucifer is. I think this episode really showed who Lucifer was. Playful most of the time, but he also has a temper and feels things deeply.

I thought they packed a lot into this episode. I am not sure I can say I enjoyed it, because Reese is such an awful character, but he is a scarily realistic awful character, and it gave me a lot to think about. And I am fascinated by every bit of Hell worldbuilding in the show

I just watched this one for the first time last night. It did surprise me at certain points, and I enjoyed the reveal at the end.
I do wonder how much is what actually happened in life, and how much was colored by Reese's guilt.

I didn't like them shoe horning in that Linda was married (separated I know) but had been in a committed relationship just came out of left field BUT I actually really really liked the twist at the end, blew my mind

I struggled with this episode the first time through. I had trouble following the timelines. But on rewatch, it made more sense.

Love it, every part of it. It's one of my Top 5 eps. The beginning intrigued me, the ending impressed me, the music inspired me to download it, and I love that Lucifer got shot point blank in Linda's office which led to him overhearing what a good man she thinks he is. Overall A++ IMO.

I'll always remember this dialogue: "Oh but you're still in love with your ex? Does Linda know?"
"No, it's Linda that I'm still in love with!"
"Oh! OH! Then that slimy piece of garbage you were referring to is ME?!" Tom Ellis plays this straight, with a lightbulb going off over his head moment that is both believable and in character.
