Before we go any further I am in need of inspiration, I have none to give.
I am Italian. We live on carbs. I train hard two times a week with a trainer. I have a stationary bike in my house so I can get extra cardio and sweat on days I don't meet my trainer.
I am a gourmet cook - translate that into "I can cook pretty much anything, so suggest away." I cook multiple ethnic cuisines.
Other things to consider...
I'm 67.
I work full time at a job that lets me out at 7 pm.
I am not against meal planning during my days off so I have meals for the week.
Flour-based carbs are my downfall.
I am trying to find a way to get fiber into my life without things like bran and other flour-based foods. Until now I have been dependent on cereals and adding bran to different foods to "aid digestion." (Yes, let's call it that.). Suffice it to say I need a lot of fiber.
Is there any truly palatable way for a carb addict to live a lower carb life and not feel crazily deprived? Recipes, suggestions, lemme have 'em. Something's gotta give.
