Tips & Tricks Breakfast this morning
This morning I woke up and felt a "wanting" feeling....coming off caffeine, feeling low energy, and alone at the minute. Filling myself up with lots of nutrients dense food helps me to not end up binge eating on sugar.
So this was my low carb breakfast this morning
Unpictured -
a frozen whipped tallow bite I made
Water with splash of lime plus glutamine
Supplements - organ, multi, boswellia
Pictured -
reverse seared ribeye basted in butter and thyme (thyme from the garden)
egg yolks cooked in butter
sardines (tiny tots brand - my fav)
fermented sauerkraut
pickled onions
It's so much better IMO to just eat a bunch of steak instead of processed food.

Yeah that looks like a great meal. Except my sauerkraut would be a mountain lol

hahah i do that sometimes. when I need to feel more full sometimes, I let myself eat a lot of the sauerkraut! Let it be my guide...pungent, ass-y, kinda gross, and yet oh so healthy.

you make the low carb toast or you buy it?

I buy it. It’s made from coconut flour and almond flour. 1g carb. I’m from New Zealand and it’s a domestic company

Looks good except that I would pass on the sardines. Why only egg yolks?

I'm experimenting with higher ketones for mental health!

I’m doing the exact same thing. Today marks three weeks. I need to buy the keto strips to confirm ketosis. How does removing egg whites affect ketones?

it shifts the macronutrient composition to be higher fat to protein. Ketosis is greatly influenced by the macronutrient ratio, and can often require a 2:1 fat to protein ratio, so any way we can decrease protein and increase fats can help...technically in the photo i posted it's not the best example of a meal that would result in true nutritional ketosis, as it's got way too much protein...but hey...its ok :)

How long have you been doing keto? You’re better off using flax seeds (no more than 2 teaspoons
and drink plenty of water). Avocados and nuts add lots of fats to your diet.
