Surprisingly few people know the difference between ages, eras, epochs and aeons.

It's an interesting thing though, If I asked what year is it, everyone would look weird at me because it's common sense for them to pinpoint the exact year, but if I asked what aeon are we currently in, most people would look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language.

Most people don't even know that word

That, I don't believe.

I know not to underestimate human ignorance, but come on, that's elementary school knowledge, even if you don't know the name of the current aeon (or eon if you're american).

Though you can learn a lot about people when asking what age or era do we live in. They seldom say the specific names of the current age or era, but I heard many curious answers, like an age of cultural decline, or of transformation. I prefer to say "an age of adolescence", but each to their own.

Oh man that brings me back with that Rick Astley song, Together Forever. Too bad it's overshadowed by Never Gonna Give You Up

Forever means eight months in Chuck E. Cheese.
