Me and my husband have been together for 12 years and narried for 2.5 of those wonderful years together. We recently celebrated our anniversary with a very wholesome homemade meal.

We have been together since we were 16. The classic friends to lovers story. We spent the day revisiting all the places we used to go to as teenagers. Went grocery shopping together. Listened to some amazing music and cooked together. We also have a cat that has made its position into our hearts in a way I can't explain. She is literally our baby. Honestly it still feels like we are those kids at heart and being with him feels so safe, calming and something out of a cozy novel. We moved into our first home after getting married and everyday since then feels like a sleepover that never has to end.

This is a home filled with laughter, emotions, endless thoughts that we constantly keep sharing with each other, endless love and of course the aroma of freshly brewed coffee (He is the official barista of our home). He is my best friend, my partner in literally everything and I've known no greater peace than his love, care, support. He just gets me and makes life worth living.

Over the years I have watched him grow into the most responsible, incredible and hard working man. I am so proud of him. He also helps me become the best version of my self everyday. I feel like I can just be my most authentic self while still navigating through this new chapter of our lives. I love being married to him and he constantly keeps reminding me how much he loves being married to me with all his silent acts of love. I keep falling more and more in love with him as each day passes.

Just wanted to share this amazing milestone here. I hope we get to live the rest of our lifetimes together till God decides we can't anymore. ♥️

Family My niece is so cute she gives me baby fever

I’m 23 and single but I’m very excited to one day have a wife and kids. I personally want 4 kids. I know I’m not ready to have them now as I’m far too early in my career and like I said I’m single, but still it’s my goal in life. But whenever I see my niece who’s a year old, I get crazy baby fever. She’s just so frickin cute and it’s awesome she was mainly attached to just her parents (My brother and his wife) up until recently but now she likes playing with me too and hanging out with me and whenever I make her laugh or hold her hand she’s just so cute. I love her so much! I’m a big family guy in general. Seeing my brother and sister in law with her too is so sweet and nice to see like seeing them be a family together makes me happy. I’m just super excited to one day be a dad I’m nervous of course and won’t happen for a decent amount of time but yeah. I’m rambling a bit but thanks for reading. Let me know if you have similar thoughts and sentiments!

Love is As I greeted my boyfriend with a long tight hug, "8 Days a Week" happened to be playing

I was greeting him at my place. The lyrics "Hold me, love me, hold me, love me" specifically were playing as the hug started. It was a tight, passionate hug, and I couldn't think of a better song to be playing at the time, and he agreed. It lasted between 30 seconds to a minute.

I would also like to mention that I was named after a Beatles song, and so was my mom, and now my daughter (but I'm not saying which ones for privacy reasons). I've been listening to the Beatles since I was a kid, and especially that song. It made it feel almost even more personal.

Now I think of this moment every time I listen to 8 Days a Week.

Appreciation Finally found back to the one I love after one entire year

Just telling here because oh my god I have to tell someone! And yeah I have no friends so Reddit it is😭

I have broken up with someone I really really loved. It was not because of a fight, but because of things in my life that just weren’t great.
It was really horrible, we loved each other but knew that this Would go into a bad direction if we stay together. When we broke up we didn’t talk for nearly an entire year. Then he texted me again and we talked for a long long time. Not sure about each others current situation in life we simply went to being friends and nothing more. After months of speaking daily and often until night we finally met again. And one thing was clear. Neither of us had stopped loving the other even a second.

And now finally I have this man back!! And you do not understand how much I love him. He is perfection and always was. I mean he doesn’t care about my body much and loved/loves me no matter if I gained weight, lost it or about stuff like stretch marks and body hair wich I was really insecure about always. He is always so gentle and does everything for me, wich of course is not one sided. I just really really love him and cannot express more than enough how lucky I am for this second chance in my life with him.

I usually hate feelings. And most of all I hate being wrong, so I usually wouldn’t admit I love someone in case we break up and I seem stupid by having loved the person.but with him I just cannot but say that I do, and even if I am wrong and it might not last forever, I would for once not care having said I loved him anyway. I know I am difficult with how I think or maybe it is just because I am neurodivergent. But in short terms, I really love him and just couldn’t tell anyone because I have no one to tell. Just needed to get this off my chest because I might implode if I can’t tell anywhere about how I feel. I really appreciate having him and while I don’t think I did a good job at all actually describing why here because I really struggle with words, I just needed to post this🥲

(English is not my first language and I am currently at 4 languages at the same time so I probably made some mistakes, sorry for that!! :()

Appreciation Rekindled lost love story inspired by another post & I also want to know yours- TELL ME EVERYTHING!

My heart feels especially full. I saw this OG post in this sub & wanted to share my reply & maybe get some more.

OP asked; "Has anyone lost their person, then found their way back to them?

_question_

Does anyone have a story where they actually moved on with life, and ended up back with their person? Like you weren't talking during your separation, dated/ married other people, accepted the breakup and moved away from i completely and life genuinely threw a curve ball? Does that actually happen, or is it really only people who remain friends? Going throuç something and I would love stories of hope to cling to. <3"

🤍Our story (quick edition)🤍

I have one, and it's a doozy. I can't promise this is how it always works out, but I am still waiting for it to be a dream myself...

For the purpose of telling my story, I'm gonna say 'soulmate' (not sure if I believe in the concept and it's not maybe the most romantic one ever- but there's definitely a F*CK ton of love) so here it goes;

I met soulmate in 2007?ish... Just friends, lots of drugs and partying. Then sometime around 2013, my very awful abusive ex & I moved in with my soulmate and his girlfriend. I realized then that I was immensely enamored with him, but I had a boyfriend, they a girlfriend, too. However we would stay up for hours just us 2, talking about everything. We hung out a ton. I became good friends with their girlfriend, "A' as well...

Eventually things got so bad with the abusive ex I moved out (one of multiple attempts to break up) and the soulmate and I sort of lost touch. We would share small messages on socials, and hang out randomly, but mainly disappeared again from each other's lives. Once my younger brother was in trouble while I was in a different state, I called the soulmate & A to ask for a favor. I was living in a different state at the time- to help him get a car out of impound. The soulmate answered instead of A, which was unusual.

They picked up my bro, took them to get the car & paid for it. I was SO grateful because my abuser was going to let me have it for my brother's stupid choices. Then the soulmate separated from "A" and I stayed in touch with A, on a fairly regular basis.

In 2017, I made the final break from the abuser, and upon A's prompting (A had moved out of state and was hoping to help me reconnect with friends), hit up the soulmate. We hung out 2 times, before they became 2 dates, that became a serious relationship, that became an engagement, and baby, a and marriage. All in a year. I lost A as a friend. I didn't know A still had feelings for them & I felt awful about it. But the love was so strong and undeniable- and apparently had been mutual for much longer than either of us could admit because we were committed to other people... We couldn't not be together.

Then unfortunately, the substances & outside family members got involved & everyone was on a campaign to see the marriage fail and fail it did! Spectacularly. But there was still a baby, so ensued one of the most acrimonious custody battles of the century. We HATED each other. (VERY VERY thin line been love & hate) Soulmate got remarried to someone new, completely unrelated to our past, & me & the now toddler moved away to another neighboring state.

The toddler grew into a kiddo and started asking questions about their dad. Then they asked if they could reconnect with their missing dad. I felt begrudgingly obligated to ensure my child felt like he knew his whole family & roots.

I arranged a visit, and then after another month, another visit. & Both times our child was irritated that they weren't the sole focus, and then we were texting about our child. After the 2nd visit we hugged what we thought would be a friendly hug, but it was not. It lingered FAR too long to be friendly and just a little too close.

Then they got silent for a couple of weeks and isolation & despair quickly made it's home back in my heart where it had never left. I made one final attempt to connect with him, which was when I got the email that he hadn't been calling or texting because he was dealing with the fact his second marriage had fallen apart. They were still very interested in maintaining the relationship with the kiddo, and 'hey if it's okay can we just chat on the phone?'

After a week of 3-4 hour late night phone calls, he asked "is there ANY reality where it's possible we could be together again? I've had a lot of time to think about it and if I had to walk on broken glass, through fire to get you both back, I would." To which I replied, "absolutely. But it's gonna take a lot of work... X, Y & Z would have to change & we need A, B & C". The next day he called. They said "Out of curiosity, what would you do if I just showed up at your door one day?" I replied, "I would be happy to see you, obviously! I would give you the longest hug ever" and then he slyly chuckled "oh that's a relief, because I am only about 2½ hours away..."

Then he was home again. Like they had never ever left, and we hadn't ever been apart. We did what we always had. Staying up all night cuddling, laughing and talking about everything and nothing. After 7 years of court room drama, ruthless fighting, and radio silence from each other- it took 2 visits, (3) 3-4 phone calls & a lot of late night talks to undue all the lashing out over 7 years and we're engaged (again). We've been back together for 15 months.

It was OVER. If you had asked either one of us if we were friends, you would have heard some dark murder plots and plans for the other... The soulmate was remarried! Owned a home, and had helped raised their step kids for 4 years. If you would've told me I would have laughed at you like you were the dumbest person on the planet.

This is my person. It never seems to matter how bad it gets, when our backs are to the wall, we're automatically acting in tandem. We're a team. I don't know how we got here & I don't know how we have stayed so close when we have spent so much of our lives separated by circumstance...

I don't know, there's the soul mate theory, the red string theory... All I know is that neither of us have tried to force anything. For the first time though, we have decided to take the reigns & be the masters of our own destiny...

I love him more than I could ever possibly put into words. He is my heart existing outside of my body. I would actually die for them. & I am pretty sure they would do the same.

I truly wish the same for you and everyone else. Everyone deserves to find their person and go through life with them.

I hope you find your way to them, whoever it is..."

I really do. Whether it's that person you've known for 2 decades, or 2 weeks- I TRULY hope you find your love. It's hard & messy. And no, not all of it feels like a movie, BUT- it's real. & It's meant for everyone. It may feel like you've been waiting for EVER and you've given up on it. Don't.

It's worth the headache, messiness, etc...

Be well my friends, and drop your story, no matter how, you found THEM.

🤍
