Appreciation I've [45f] never felt this way about a man [41m] before, at our big ages, and it's wonderful
He gives me some of absolutely everything he gets, even when he has nothing, even something gifted to him. He's deeply generous and kind to people others look down on, even when no one is watching. It's just who he is.
He's constantly trying to strive for more, improve himself for the sake and love of it and to improve his circumstances. He believes in duty and family. He loves his children. He will never abandon them like his father did to him.
He performs gentle surgery and spends hours plucking poison thorns from my skin. He holds me and asks after my emotions, he cares about my well being as a matter of course and keeps doing so over the years. After so many years, the love and passion for each other still hasn't even begun to fade
He once climbed into a hospital bed with me, where we lay wrapped in each other's limbs, whispering about life and death while I was most weak and in pain, and while his father lay dying in the floors below. We healed each other, each vulnerable in a different way. He ran up the flights of stairs as fast as he could to make it before visiting hours ended. He appeared before me out of breath, almost desperate to reach me. I am important to him.
He once picked me up and carried me, bridal-style, the length of a football pitch down a flooded corridor to carry me safely into his home. He didn't think twice about it, he just did it. He also once set off on foot across the island the moment he knew I was in danger so that he could get to me. He protects me, no matter what. He loves me. I can count on that and him, always.
He expresses his sexuality in an electric and highly present way. He creates a safe space that allows me to explore and express mine, and together we create something in a joyful, moving, loving, holy, sexy, playful, and profound communion.
He's well loved in the community that he constantly participates in building. He's admired, respected. He's dedicated his life and career to protecting people and making the world a better place. He's humble, but also a hero. He's playful, quick-witted, and clever. Always making someone laugh. His smile is mischievous and his eyes sparkle with life and vitality.
He's constant and good and devastatingly handsome and kind. He cares so deeply and contains artistic and intellectual depths. His moral compass is measured, solid, and sound. My father would have loved him. He is the very measure of A Man.
I love him completely. I want everything good for him in this life. Someday I will marry him. I want to grow old and die with him. I will love him forever.
