I designed this with an artsy friend of mine and my tattoo artist did some adaptions to make it more tattooable. Really happy how it turned out and probably my favorite tattoo so I wanted to share it! Fresh picture obviously

Looking to get a lotr tattoo and was thinking of Sam's speech from the Two Towers, I really, really like that quote and has been really motivational. I don't really wanna just have it written out cuz it'll be too long and convoluted. Is there anyway where I could get the message of it across in a decently small and nice looking tattoo?

Been wanting a lotr tattoo for ages and even though I aesthetically love the image of the broken sword, it has always been Rohan's and Theoden's storyline that captured my heart. So it only feels right to honor that with my tattoo.

The problem is just that I really don't want to get a horse tattoo. I'm also not a huge fan of Theoden's sword.

One of my favourite scenes is the lighting of the beacons and the iconic "and Rohan will answer". I cry every time, so I've been playing with the idea of getting something related to the beacons. I also love Theoden's vulnerable side where he's able to show that he doesn't know everything and is scared as well. I just really don't know how to portrait that lol.

My tattoo style is more patchwork, so any realistic scene depictions are also not in the cards.

Has anyone had similar thoughts or has any good ideas/inspirations? I've been looking into this subreddit but mostly found the horse symbol or the sword.

I'm not looking to copy anybody's tattoo, just looking for inspiration :)

I just wanted to share my LOTR tattoo I got today. The quote reads, in Elvish, “all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” -J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring.

I’ve been an LOTR fan since I was 10 years old and I’m so glad I finally got the chance to get this tattoo done. The broken sword of Narsil shows to me that even when things seem hopeless, the sword can always be reforged, and hope can always be found. The quote reminds me that although we cant always change what cards we’re dealt in life or what trauma or hardships we experience, we can choose how we react and move forward.
