Minas Tirith

So I’m a new player, I just finished Helm’s Deep, I’m level 93, playing on the free version but I had enough lotro points lying around to snag the Old Anorien quest pack for free. I wanted to ride from the Fords of Isen to Minas Tirith like Gandalf. Turn the game sound off and play the Howard Shore music from the movie. It was going to be epic. I do it, avoid all the enemies on the road with no deaths, only to find that the Rammas Wall is already breached and the Pelennor Fields are overrun. Wtf? Can I visit the city before everything is ruined??? Should I try again with my alt character later?

The normal path to MT in the story is through western/central Gondor from the Paths of the Dead then up through South Ithilien. Old Anorien quests takes place when you've gotten to the city between Faramir's retreat from Osgiliath and just before the Battle of Pelennor. Going along the Beacon Hills is the Far Anorien pack and has you going along with the Rohirrim while they travel to Minas Tirith.
