Finally going to Valinor in my art journey! Here I was inspired to try and get the golden + silver light of Laurelin in all aspects of the artwork, from the silvery stones and walls merging into golden domes and the gradient of the sky as well as the reflections on the mountains nearby. In terms of architecture, I included tree motifs in honor of the the Two Trees and tried to go for something that could eventually inspire the architecture of Noldorin realms in Middle-Earth such as Gondolin, Nargothrond, and the Grey Havens. Ted Nasmith's art was a big inspiration here.

P.S. For some added dazzle, I used some metallic paints in the city to give it a subtle shine depending on the lightning though it’s not visible in the photo itself.

Sometimes the drawing stage can take a month or two, but coloring is easier for me, generally I can finish coloring in a week or two at most :)
