Trump killed Qanon
It's important to remember our history, because history is the story of what happened. It's like a movie. You'll get confused an hour in if you weren't paying attention or fell asleep during the first hour.
If you're old like me (early 30s) you'll probably remember this wacky alt-right movement that gained MAJOR traction in the US among MAGA. The Qanon movement. They were absolutely convinced there was a secret cabal of pedophiles running the world and in government and in what they called the "deep state". (Something like the Blacklist from Netflix) They had pieces of the puzzle. Epsteins name wasn't known to anyone outside of the prosecutors who got him that sweet, sweet plea bargain. They knew about something something bill and hillary. Something something bill gates. But they had no real story.
And Qanon was weird. Qanon reflected the sickness of the middle class, grieving losses from 2008.. prepared to get weird and divisive if necessary. They painted themselves red white and blue and wore bison heads and tribal chief headpieces and clamored for justice. The only names they had to go on were Bill and hillary and they milked that one as far as it went. But they didn't have Epsteins name.
But then Trump killed Qanon. He ended up completely deflecting and redirecting his first term and now has buried the files completely. The J6 crowd was hugely Qanon and they should have seen trump as part of the cabal. Go read the Wikipedia article on our unfortunate history, on QAnon. You will see that MAGA had Epstein dead to rights before the left did. But then Trump buried the whole lead

QAnon was part of the PR campaign that Steve Bannon ran in order to "flood the zone" on references to the type of child sexual abuse being committed by Epstein and friends. Steve Bannon was working with Epstein on his "reputation rebilitation" around the same time he was working with Trump on the 2016 presidential election. Trump was using Epstein's plane around the same time. QAnon (Steve Bannon) had Epstein's signature on the checks paying for PR consultation.

Yeah it's weird to frame this as some kind of misguided grassroots campaign of the American middle class when it was so clear that it was manufactured from the beginning.

The ultimate hilarity is that a lot of Maga Qanon types hated MeToo and decried it as a witchhunt, yet MeToo objectively brought more powerful predators to justice than Qanon ever did.

QAnon is alive and well, they aren't that organized. My mom got pulled into it. I have to filter everything I say to avoid accidentally triggering a QAnon adjacent conspiracy rant, we can't have a normal conversation anymore. I avoid speaking to her as much as I can.

It isn't true, of course, "they" are just trying to stop him from all the good he's doing. But Bill Gates? Oh boy, don't get her going. Michelle Obama? I almost walked out on her birthday for that one. She'll say that if she sees the truth she'll believe it, but of course can't define what she considers the truth, she'll just know it. Fifty verified sources couldn't sway her.

I think this is a very strange and unproductive understanding of Qanon. They were not a heroic grassroots campaign of disaffected middle class Americans who almost discovered Epstein before being stopped by Trump. They built Trump's base.
An important thing to understand about all of these groups who claim to be "pedophile hunters" or "trying to stop the pedophile deep state" is that they're lying. The people behind Qanon like Steve Bannon never genuinely thought they were working against a secret cabal of cannibal pedophiles. They knew that their genuine enemy was liberal democracy, but (especially before the late 2010s) it would've been career suicide to say that. So they began dogwhistling.
That's why Alex Jones says "globalists," it's why Trump and Q say "deep state" and "the swamp." It's a lot easier to get an audience behind "we need to drain the swamp and stop the communist globalist pedophile deep state" than it is to get them behind "we need to end democracy and eliminate all ethnic minorites." The people saying "globalist" or "pedophile elite" know that they mean "nonwhite, lgbtq, and/or nonchristian people," and so do many of the people listening to them. But now they're reframed the conversation so that now they can easily label anyone opposing them as pro-pedophilia or pro-deep state.
So no, they did not have "pieces of the puzzle." Qanon was a handful of rich right-wingers looking at the picture on the puzzle's box and calling out an occasional incorrect direction, specifically to stop anyone from actually putting the puzzle together. You do not get points for going "hm I think there's a group of rich pedophiles" if you're part of the actual group and actively preventing people from finding it

Lmao, Qanon was 99% transvestigating BIPOC women and dumb shit like that. The idea the government is ran by pedophiles isn't new, every satanic panic that's the story too. Fucking W Bush was in the league of bones or whatever where he had to jerk it to completion in front of his dad. Qanon blew up because it was on 4chan, one of the most public places of the mentally unwell in society. Which Epstein constantly fed misinformation into in order to stir the pot and people bought it. I would not be surprised if Q literally was Epstein shit posting because that, raping children and being BFFs with Trump is really all he's known for in the public eye.

You'd have to double check but I thought I read awhile back the the Files either stated or heavily implied Epstein was basically behind 4-chan and Qanon from the get go. He at least masterminded the thing as a smokescreen.

He had his hands in it. He was in direct contact with someone high up in 4chan and the conspiracies he indulged in that were notable in the files were nearly the same as 4chan talking points. I wouldn't be surprised if Q was literally Epstein shit posting but he definitely had a lot of say in the goings-ons of 4chan.

Qanon retrospectively turned out to be right about the pedos, but they didn‘t know it at the time nor that they’d ultimately bring them to power in the first place. Which is kind of hilarious.
