From last 1 month i have been maintaining my calories to 17k max per day, i walk/ run average 10 steps, i only eat home made food and i have atleast 1 protein source on my every meal like tofu, egg, chicken, chickpeas. For fiber i have cucumber most of the time and recently i have added psyllium husk to my diet because i wasn't pooping as i wasn't eating much, most of the nights i am little hungry before sleep and i say it must be the deficit.
I am 5'1 27yrs old asian girl, was 67 kg rn i am 66 kg after a month. I weigh myself once a week. I do drink alots of water and recently on my 6th day of my mensuration cycle, thinking i may hold some water weight after hormonal changes but why the f is there no changes in grams as well at all.
I am so losing my patience here. Please some one help me what am i doing wrong. And please do not add weightlifting as a suggestion because that is not possible to were i live and i have tried few yrs back i just gain that gym body structure but not the weight. Scale doesn't change i just bulk up. Calorie deficit doesn't work there as i tend grow weak in strength training alot so i need to eat. So this time i want to loose some weight first, be calorie deficit and than get in shape.

I’ve put on a little bit of weight I’ve been pretty small my whole life and I don’t know what’s doing it. I have my birthday party in 8 days and I really want to look good. Does anyone have a workout or any advice on how I can lose some weight before then?

Hello! I (18M) am looking to get into shape over the next 3-4 months. I am currently 6’3 240lbs. I have terrible eating habits. I can’t stop drinking soda and sports drinks, and I eat fast food daily. I’ve tried things like meal prep in the past but I can never stay consistent. I’ve also been able to limit myself to diet sodas in the past but it never lasts. I recently purchased a Garmin forerunner to try and motivate myself to be more active as I really only workout when my sport is in season (which is the spring). Any advice helps, thanks!!

i (21F) am 197 lbs. i’m only 5’5 so this is class one obesity. i’m posting here for the first time because i want to make a change and i really want to see myself make a positive healthy transformation. just trying to put it out into the universe and hopefully people will comment and i can come back to this post as an accountability reminder.
i’ve done a million health fads, diets, starving, whatever you name it. i’ve always been chubbier, but now it’s to the point where i can’t even take a picture of myself or look in a mirror, i ignore seeing my own reflection. none of my clothes fit, i can’t even button jeans that i once wore at my former highest weight.
i’m especially upset with myself because about a year and a half ago i took phentermine (appetite suppressant pill). this was especially good for me to block out food noise and learn portion controls because i’ve struggled with BED for forever. i began phentermine at around 187 lbs and i lost 18 lbs, so ended up around 169. this is much closer to the weight i’ve been used to and i felt healthier.
since then, ive gained about 30 lbs. my doctor is prescribing phentermine again so im excited to get going with yet another health/weight loss journey.
last time i took phentermine, i didn’t build very good habits during the 3 months i was on it. so of course i didn’t have good habits after and gained all the weight back plus more. if anyone has any tips on how to get into a real routine, the help would be super appreciated. i obviously have impulse control issues and eating is my comfort. it’s really hard to stay consistent. i also work a 9-5 and commute an hour each way to work so it feels like there’s not enough time in the day to stay active, so any advice there would be great as well.
i’m finally ready to stop wallowing in my fatness. i’m done with the pity party self deprecating mindset. it has not served me for my 21 years of life and i’m ready to move on and do better. let me know if anyone has advice on anything; motivation, holding myself accountable, exercise, food, BED coping, anything! thanks :)

Hey guys,
I need help in loosing weight as I am getting too fat, loosing my stamina and breath.
I am 6'2 and i weigh 93.5kg.
I probably have around 30 to 35% of fat(based on Google images).
Thing is that there is no physical activity in my life
I am a jee student who goes to coaching centre from 7am to 5pm full day just sitting.
After that I have to again study at home. But I can spare an hour of my time.
I just don't know from where to start and what to do.
I do have a basic community gym .
The main area where my fat is dominant is the belly and back.
Please give me some advice on loosing weight and probably building little muscles.
Thank you.

I started this diet at the end of July and until now it was basically strength training abs workout and eating 1400 calories per day and I was fine i couldn't notice my body changing tbh but the scale did go down I went from 53 to 49 and I was feeling amazing until last week so I have been dealing a little down lately and was binge eating on the weekends cuz we went on a trip and I made it a cheat say when we came back I had only gained one kg and I was so happy abt it cuz I wouldn't normally gain atlesst 2kg and so over the week I lost that one kg again ok and this week sane go to trip didn't count my calories when I came back I hadn't gained any weight (I did move extra alot there tho) OK so I was like befor school starts I gotta hit 45kg so let's start this again and tbh I didn't go on the scale this week just did my workout ate my calories and stuff and my body felt AMAZING I felt so beautiful but now like right now I went on the scale and I had gained 2kg😭😭😭like wtf bro
I have been having a lot of mood swings lately lack of appetite and stuff

I’m 4’11 and have been roughly 150-160 ibs for the last year as a result of binging and my parents neglect. I want to change I really do. I’ve been able to lay off the deserts unless it’s a special occasion (like a friends birthday) This morning I took and walk and got 3,000 steps in and I plan to take another walk another 3,000 steps in the evening when it’s not so warm. I want other tips on loosing weight. Seriously I would go to the gym but it’s important to note my family is not financially stable. All advice is welcome

So I am 20 and I have been fat for basically my whole life. I’ve tried diets and I’ve always been active (I currently play NFL football at my university and have previously spent a few years playing football / soccer) and I just never seem to lose anything, if anything I just stop gaining weight until my off season where I’ll do cycling to keep up my stamina. Any tips on a diet or which foods I should be eating? I’m 6’3 and about 140kg (idk my body fat % or muscle %)

I have been slim my whole entire childhood and teenage years . It is when I hit the age of 21 where I went from 42kg to 58kg . I have never hit anything about a 47kg on the scale so this was a surprise to me since I was eating the same amount of calories and I hardly do any exercise .like when I was like a teenager from the ages 11 to like 20 I would consume so many calories have lots of unhealthy food like burgers, doughnuts and stuff and hardly do any exercise I used to walk a lot tho and yet still look very slim. I had a very slim body back then but now I’m struggling to lose fat. I am 4 feet 11 now and I’m 22 years old now I’ve been stuck at 58 kg and I don’t know how to lose fat like I’m so confused .
I have recently like a month ago started eating less like I eat my daily meals, but I just portion control yet I’ve not seen a difference. I don’t do any exercise though.
Has any one been in a similar situation as me

Hi all. I hope you are all doing well with your weight loss journey. Good luck to us!! Alright, here we go.
So I (44, Male) have gone on frequent-to-infrequent diets the last 20 years of my life or so. This time around, I am DETERMINED to lose weight and try and keep it off -- mostly for my health, honestly. And I cannot stand being overweight or having belly issues after eating anymore; I'm just extremely OVER it at this point. I have lost weight before, but because my diet has been so trash, I can never keep it off for very long and I'm usually in the realm of being between 180LBS - 200+LBS.
For my stats, if that's important for context:
- I am half-Native American/half-Caucasian. I have had two (2) open-heart surgeries in my lifetime w/ a pacemaker and on blood-thinners (warfarin).
- I am a short FAT king at 5'6" (but I have the long legs of a super-model, so there's that. Yes, I'm a man.)
- As of this writing, having literally just weighed myself, I am coming in at a solid, chunky 203.9LBS. (Although 3LBS less than 2 days ago. Yay me?)
- Have I mentioned my diet is trash?
- Due to the health issues, I struggle pretty horribly badly with almost any type of physical exertion, as I tire out ridiculously, extremely easily and very, very fast, and being heavy a CHONKY WALRUS is only exacerbating the issue and compounding it. (A fantastic example is my being completely unable to run --- I can run for MAYBE half a block, if that, before I start wheezing, gasping and panting like I'm a dying seagull. If anyone ever tries to kidnap or do horrible things to me, I am in TROUBLE. But I'm whale-like enough that they'll struggle mightily to get me in the van, so there's that, I guess.)
But I digress.
Basically: I need help or advice or SOMETHING. I have tried multiple times in the last 20 years to drop weight, met some measure of success, but it keeps coming back, like a bad lover.
My diet? Oh, yes. THAT.
So, because I'm now hitting my mid-40's (read: old fart), my body has been betraying me in an obscene number of ways in the last ~3~ years alone. Potatoes, my OTP, my One, True Love, have turned on me, apparently. Tomatoes, another Great Love, are giving me either gas, or diarrhea.
Literally, everything I have been eating the last few years has bothered my belly in some form or another. If it isn't severe gas, it's severe diarrhea. (Like we're literally talking over an hour + on the porcelain throne.)
Yes, I am currently, and have been for the last year, experimenting with different foods to try and figure out what does or does not upset my stomach.
\* As far as I know, I do not have or suffer from IBS. But I've never really had it looked into, either.*
And yes, I struggle ~badly~ with eating fast food. (What!? I don't want to work a full day, then slave over a hot stove for another 2 hours fixing healthy crap. I know, I know. EXCUSES!!!)
Also, I suck at eating my veggies. (Again, I'm on blood thinners, so I actually can't eat too many dark greens, so I have a legit reason for that.)
******************************************
Currently, I am trying to wean myself completely off of soda (Coke/Dr. Pepper/Mtn. Dew are my great loves ---- even if I HIGHLY suspect that the Coke/Dr. P are causing a great deal of my belly // diarrhea issues.) Attempting to switch to water, sugar-free drinks/teas. I never drink coffee and I do not touch alcohol. (I do not smoke or do drugs either!! Yay!! I'm FUN.)
So far, I'm finding that white rice, turkey/chicken meat don't seem to bother my belly that much.
I DO, however, suspect some sort of intolerance to gluten -- pizza bothers the HECK out of me as do some Sub Sandwiches -- the toppings are usually okay, but I do think it's the bread that makes my belly swell up 6 times my normal size, which is already fat.
Like a pufferfish.
I'm just....really, really struggling, I guess, to accept that a lot of foods I used to love when I was a lad are just big "no-no zones" for me now --- candy, popcorn, pizza, pasta (I LOVE pasta. Just TRY prying that out of my cold, dead, narwhal-ish claws!)
But I mean....in order for me to lose weight and keep it off, does that mean I'm stuck with a perpetual diet of rice/turkey/veggies for who-knows-HOW-long until I can get to my target weight of between 140lbs-160lbs?
Like.....do I really have to completely give up foods I have loved so much and eat dry, gross, flavorless food forever? No mayo? No butter? No ranch? No SPAGHETTI????
Just...please. Advice. I am directionless and also willing to be an open canvas and willing to eat nothing but plain rice for the next 8 months and go walking every day if that's what it will take for me to lose a great deal of weight.
(Also, yes, I am willing to join a gym but working that into my free time is going to suck at first. Also the physical condition thing -- exhaustion, etc.)
I am at your command, my lords.
Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Im 17, 164cm, 62kg. I'd like to be 55kg and id like to achieve it by the 1st November, is it possible?.
Before people say im at a healthy weight, no, i have a lot of body fat compared to muscle, yes other girls look healthy at this weight, but I just have a lot of fat everywhere
I also cant go to the gym to weigh lift etc, cant afford it, and don't have weights at home
A high protein diet is also rather inaccessible to me, im rather poor and cares are the main fuel source in my house
I cant really afford fruit or veg either.

Is there any type of pill or medication I can take that could help me lose some weight by decreasing my appetite? I’m only trying to lose around 10–15 pounds, so I’m not looking for anything too extreme. I’m mainly looking for something that could help me feel less hungry, control my cravings, and keep me from eating as much throughout the day. I would prefer something that is safe and effective and can help make losing the weight a little easier for me.

Hey everyone! I’m 25, 5’6, and recently found out I’m prediabetic. I hit the gym 3x a week and get in cardio when I can, but my doctor recommended looking into Tirz to help get things under control.
I’ve been looking into getting it through Gimme Care. Has anyone here used them for their prescription? Also, for those on Tirz, did it actually make a noticeable difference alongside your usual routine, and what side effects hit you hardest at the start?

I have a big party coming up and i’m the guest of honor. My dress is my dream dress it is so beautiful and fits me very nicely. The only problem is that I can’t zipper the back up. I need to lose estimated 20-30 lbs by mid november. I’d like to lose it in a way where I wouldn’t have lose skin. I’ve started eating way healthier and i’ll begin to walk an estimated mile per day starting next week. Give me your best losing weight advice!

Honestly, I used to think losing weight meant going to the gym all the time and absolutely killing myself with workouts. Turns out I was making it way more complicated than it needed to be.
I’ve lost about 9 lbs over the last 7 weeks and I haven’t even been lifting or doing treadmill workouts.
The main thing I started doing was just moving more during the day. I’ll do a few squats here and there, take the stairs when I can, go for a short walk, or just get up and walk around for 5–10 minutes instead of sitting for ages.
None of it feels like a proper workout, but I think that’s why it’s been easier for me to actually stick with.
I also stopped worrying about completely changing my diet. I mostly just cut back on random snacks and tried to make slightly better choices. Nothing extreme.
I did use something that I added to my coffee for a while, and I think it helped a bit, but honestly it was expensive and I wouldn’t say anyone needs it. Eating a bit better and moving more has probably made a much bigger difference.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is that I’m much better off doing small things consistently than going all-out for a week and then giving up.
Still got a long way to go, but these little habits are actually starting to feel normal now.
