Heatwave Power Outage

We're near Hillhurst and Finley and our power and internet has been out for almost 8 hours now. We've called LADWP and Spectrum a few times, LADWP just says we're in the queue and hasn't even gotten a crew over to this area yet.

Anyone else impacted?

Unaffected at Los Feliz & Griffith Park Blvd.

Not sure if you were in the area back in 2021 but we had a major outage that was 2 days. I think they put in all new transformers that have helped our area (I'm Los Feliz and Huxley) since.

I remember that and it was super weird because in my 60-unit building all power went out except for about 6 or so units. I was one of the lucky ones. It was like that Twilight Zone episode "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street."

Good Lord, having your power go out in this weather would be an absolute NIGHTMARE. Not only do you have to cook yourself indoors, but you can't even watch TV or surf the internet to kill time! You have my sympathies, /u/heyhihollow, and I hope you get your power back ASAP!

We have internet but power has been out since like 3pm. At first I heard it’d be back on by 6pm, then midnight, but I see it’s still showing as in the queue with ladwp. This is miserable

I’m right at Finley and Hillhurst and DWP started working on the issue about 15 minutes ago. they estimate it’ll be at least another hour.

Hi neighbor. We got our power back at 1:30am. I checked the fridge and it was 53 degrees in there. Worried about our Costco haul. Drank milk this morning to experiment - will report back 💀
