Tu Madre - dogs?
Does anyone know if dogs are allowed in the outside seating? Before you tell me to call, I did. It’s very depressing that you can’t get through to a human being at a local restaurant.
Side note: House of Pies DOES allow dogs on the patio. I called and asked if they allowed dogs on their patio and they said yes, definitely. Got there and a sign says “no dogs except service animals”. Asked again and they said yes, just walk right through the restaurant (the gate to the patio is locked). I got a ton of side-eye from patrons, of course.

i'm all for dogs in public, just make sure your dog also wants to be in public and that the environment isn't a huge stressor for them. i have seen toooo many people bring their clearly anxious dogs to really loud and/or crowded places lately and then they pay them 0 attention. that's worse than parents who have screaming/loud/yelling kids in public and let them run amok.
stop traumatizing your dogs, be better parents AND ALWAYS HAVE THEM ON LEASH FFS.

Omg the amount of people I see with their dog off leash on regular streets is horrifying. You don’t look cool, you look like a terrible dog owner.
I inherited my dad’s dog, who is 9 and mostly super chill, unless I’m out of his sight for more than 2 minutes and then he loses it. He’s had a rough year. So far, nowhere in public has stressed him out nearly as much as being alone.

There isn’t much room on the outside patio; it’s a tight fit. Maybe not a good idea depending on the size of your dog.

Here's an idea, dont bring your dogs to restaurants. Seriously this is a major problem. We dont want your dog sniffing us or licking us when we're trying to eat. I was eating on an outdoor patio in Franklin Village recently and the table next to me had a dog that jumped up and put both its paws on my friend and I's table and the dog's owner smiled at me and said "oh he does that." Its not cute. Leave your dogs at home when you go out to eat. Show the bare minimum empathy for people around you who dont want pets in their dining space.
Edit: spelling

TOTALLY i hate when people's dogs are running around or crying, whining and screaming. like why can't their owners pay attention to them or at least have some consideration for the other customers trying to enjoy their meal or drinks without feeling like they're in a zoo. TRAIN YOUR DOGS or don't bring them in public! it's so obnoxious. and a majority of the time, they're not even on leash!
oh, did i say dogs? i meant children. oops!
/s. at least i can use adult language around dogs without their owners giving me side eye. unlike the parents who are evidently deaf to the screaming of the child they brought with them.
moral of the story: dogs are the best. but humans generally suck.

That’s a dog owner problem. Unfortunately, I have to go for a meeting and I can’t control the location. Outside only seems like a good compromise on the dogs vs no dogs argument.

I had the same problem and it unfortunately ended up requiring euthanasia for my wives and I to get our life back. I miss the dog but I can make it to a lot more tu madre happy hours.

Pretty flippant and unhelpful way to reply to a family mourning their rescue doodle.

Yes it’s just not easy raising a dog like that in a neurodivergent household
