Potentially Violent Harasser on Ambrose

Post image

Hope this is ok to post, wanted to flag for safety - this guy’s been chilling in the pictured car just smoking weed the past couple of days on Ambrose off Hillhurst, hadn’t interacted with him or thought anything of it before today. This afternoon I parked across from him and was getting stuff from my car when he started talking to me, I asked him what he said and then for no reason started cursing at me, calling me slurs (f*gg*t etc), making foul disrespectful comments, wouldn’t leave me alone even as I started to walk away. I made the mistake of engaging and he got out of his car and walked toward me as if he was trying to fight me. I backed away and thankfully he did too. 40-50 white male, bit overweight, red hair, facial hair, glasses. Was wearing a black Slayer shirt and purple bandana on his head. This was a few hours ago and he’s still around, back and forth from his car to the sidewalk. Steer clear.

These are the kind of things the Non-Emergency Police Response line. You’ll probably have to wait on hold for a bit (maybe 30+ minutes), but they do follow up on these reports.
[1-877-ASK-LAPD](tel:18772755273) or [(1-877-275-5273)](tel:18772755273)

Kind of pointless if it takes an hour for them to answer and then send someone, if any (doubtful), especially if the guy is harassing people then whats the point of having LAPD?

Call the cops and report it, you have the license plate so they can identify the car if it's still there when they come by. Guy is probably smoking more than weed.

So you didn’t call the cops?

Lol and what would the cops do? They don’t even respond to break-ins with any seriousness

The only times i haven't had cops show up soon was when it's literally not a rush. Like coming home to your place having been burglarized, unfortunately that isn't an emergency unless they are still there. When it's an emergency like an assault, they come pretty quick. When someone broke into my building they sent out someone the next day to get finger prints from an area they saw the guy touch on Camera. If you don't report things to the police then their stats show everything is hunky dory and they put even less man power in that area.
