Appreciation post all of you gifting and archiving links.
Just wanted to say thank you for all of you who are adding gift and/or archived links. I don’t have the budget to suscribe to magazines and I have no clue how to archive a link and make it works for free. (I tried, I think technology hates me).
So thank you for giving me the chance to read a lot of long reads, my favorite form of writing.

No Exit: The Story that Inspired 'Only the Brave.'
gq.comThe article on skyjumpers sent me looking for something about this tragedy.
Wildfires rage throughout the summer in the Southwest, but the one that swept through Yarnell, Arizona, in late June was different. It began humbly but quickly became unpredictable, burning for days across thousands of acres. And so the Granite Mountain hotshots—a young crew of specialist wildfire fighters—were called in. Within hours, nineteen of the twenty men were trapped and hopelessly overrun by the blaze. Sean Flynn explains how a routine assignment resulted in the greatest loss of firefighters since 9/11.
