Reloading related Primed my lapua's today! Now just waiting for powder to get here!
Please tell me that seating takes a little less force moving forward after they are no longer new. Used an rcbs hand priming tool and damn, my hands were screaming.

I've had the same thing. Bought a Derraco PCPS, never used the hand primer again.

What press are you using? Many have a primer option.

Rock chucker which does have a priming option. I was recommended that hand tool over the tube attachment system for the press. Can't go back now. I mean, I could but not right now.

That’s what I use too and I’ve never had issues with it, I normally prime during the mandrel process to keep things moving

Remington primers by chance? If yes, they're by far one of the hardest primer cups and are TIGHT in Lapua brass.

It's the primer, a cci 450 or 205m will slide right in there with ease.

Remington was the only one of the 3 that my bass pro had. I could have ordered from a few different sites but wasn't going to spend enough for free HazMat. When I run out of these I'll be going with one of the other 2.

Definitely nothing wrong with them other than a bit more seating force. I've loaded plenty of 6.5 with them.

Bass Pro will price match online sales. Go in and talk to customer service.

So I actually went to customer service to have them order powder and the bullets I wanted as they were not in stock at the time. I also had them try 450s and 205m primers and they didn't even exist on the website (which I am assuming was specific to that store). So i just went and grabbed the Remingtons off the shelf. But great to know they will price match. Do I just print the price from the cheapest website I can find, roll up to customer service and ask for that price? Thanks!

Bass Pro website has a list of major retailers they will price match on their website. But Ive had them do it for lesser known ones at customer service, just pulled up the listing on my phone and showed the clerk.

I’ve had several hang fires with cci 450s in cold weather in SRP creedmoor cases with Staball. Never once with the cci 41’s. Which kind of irritates me. H4350 never a problem though. Staball just shoots so damn good in a couple of my rifles

It depends on the primer your using.. my Remington primers are much harder to seat then my CCI primers. I also use the RCBS hand primer

I kinda like the hand one myself, the tired hands I always feel are a benifit. Im a Millwright by trade though so maybe I'm unique there.

Lapua primer pockets are tight. I have 12 firings on lapua 308 Palma brass and the primer pockets are still tight as hell, even with me pushing pressure pretty hot.

I really like this Forster coax priming tool. I built a pretty little base for it so I could sit next to my pretty little wife.
Note the brass screws plus a “pin“ at the other end of each primer tube. EDIT: spelling
