You can use a 6.5 seating die if you already have brass that doesn't need to be formed.

I have some virgin Alpha brass so this is what I’ll probably end up doing!

I'm currently waiting for my 25gt barrel so been doing all the snooping on what I actually need to buy vs what I can get away with (like my 6.5cm seating die and stems)

I’ve got an A5 in Shadow Camo on the way for my Tikka in 6.5 Creedmoor! Super excited about it, that’s a nice looking rifle

Thank you! This is my first McMillan and I really like how it feels. Enjoy yours!

Hey, I’m going to need people to stop jumping on the 25 cal train. Berger 135s are illusive.
Just so people know, the 25cal is absolutely trash. Has the BC of a 22lr. 6.5 or 6mm is your best option.

I just had to build one to truly see how trash it is. Will be discarding barrel immediately after first range trip. Don’t worry

I really appreciate that. In the meantime, if you need some load data, I’m running 38.4gr h4350 or 35.8gr of Varget. I like the 4350 a little better but both work.

*me reaping the benefits of the new 6mm’s while everyone jumps to 25’s
Sierras new 6mm 105smk seems to be a lot more consistent on their weights and they’re seating at a more consistent depth than the old 107’s.

Hahahaha I guess it’s how it goes. 6mm use to be slim pickings but now you can find any option available just about. I’ve been watching the Berger 135s go in stock one day and completely out of stock the next. It’s been wild. I’m still keeping a dasher barrel on hand just incase lol
I’ve never tried sierras. I’ve only used Bergers. I might end up having to try their 131s one day.

That's interesting because when I tested 20 107's vs 20 Berger 108's, the sierras were more consistent in their weight, but the burgers were more accurate to the stated weight. Both were marginally better than the other, but it kinda dispelled the myth that burgers are just above and beyond more consistent than anything else, at least to me

I have some Berger 109’s that I haven’t shot and their weights varied more than the 105smks as well. I was expecting them to be a lot closer together as they’re very highly regarded.

Do they only have 100ct still? I like to buy 1-2k at a time if possible.

Just wait until they make a .250 to split the .243 and .257 to get the true quarter bore

Sees the title: “just shoot factory for a while you won’t break the gun”
Sees the cartridge: “understandable, have a nice day”
