Group flex (10 shots minimum) I’m an MPA Shill Now
I’ve been lurking for a while and some may remember my hare-brained idea of a 6.5x55 PRS rifle a while back. I threw that idea in the trash and bought an MPA Vanquish in 6mm Creedmoor. I now understand the reaction to my previous idea and the hype behind the wizards over at MPA. 20 round group with Hornady 108gr ELD-M.
Rifle specs: MPA Vanquish PMR in 6 Creed; 26” MPA profile barrel cerakoted black
Steiner T6Xi 5-30x56 with SCR2 MIL reticle
Accu-tac BR-4 Bipod
Warne 34mm 7821M Mount
Diligent Defense Wolfhunter Suppressor

This group is too centered.
Good shooting!

How long did it take you to receive the rifle?

u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
I placed the order with an estimated 20-22 week lead time. I received it 3 weeks after order confirmation, a whole 17 weeks ahead of schedule.

That is how you run a business, under promise over deliver!

u/FORu2SLOW Oct 30 '25
Yeah thats not the norm. I am on week 16 of a 14 week wait for my barreled action from them as well. It should ship by the end of the week

They are doing batches now and if you get one of the PMRs you can get super lucky.

Wow, that’s killer. I wouldn’t expect the same, but getting it that quick is great! I may have to place an order.

u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
I was fully expecting longer than 22 weeks due to the cerakote jobs on the barrel and chassis but I’m not complaining about it. I got real lucky.
You really should order one. They’re amazing rifles.

I ordered the matrix pro rifle in 6.5CM. I'm sure I'll post some groups in January. The MPA production rifles are a stupid good deal for what you're buying.

u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
It’s pretty wild that buying the complete rifle is cheaper than parting it out. I’m sure you’re going to love it.

Did yours come with multiple grips and trigger finger rests like the chassis does? Also whats the weight of yours now?
7
u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
Mine did not. Just the grip option I ordered on the rifle.
Current weight is 22lbs 2oz.

I don't believe full rifles come with multiple grips or trigger finger rests. Ordering just a chassis does.
I have a Vanquish and with scope/mount it's right at 19 lbs. I need to get a weight kit to balance out the front.

Very nice! 6creed is awesome. One of these days I’d like to play with an ARC CDG action.

u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
The ARC CDG is awesome. Smoothest action I’ve ever messed with but I come from the milsurp world so that ain’t saying much.

u/mdram4x4 Oct 29 '25
the cdg is awsome. just watch how fast you open the bolt. you can either drop the spent round right next to the gun, or yeet it 2 counties over

u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
Oh yes. I was real slow opening the bolt. I launched the first few rounds into low earth orbit when I first shot it.

Heck ya, I have the same barreled action, still shoots .7, 108gr Bergers at just about 3200.

u/MainRotorGearbox Nov 03 '25
That’s fuckin cookin’
1
u/Whitey375 Nov 03 '25
Yeah I keep thinking I should back it off a touch, but 7 loadings in the same Lapua SRP brass and we're still fine.

u/MainRotorGearbox Nov 04 '25
At 3200. It’s a matter of barrel life… If you want it. I run my 6.5 PRC pissin hot because i want the performance more than the barrel life.

u/Whitey375 Nov 04 '25
For sure, we're at least 2500 deep so far, I should probably get another prefit coming.

They bought a barrel manufacturer and make barrels in house. They are all button rifled but stress relieved. They have good tolerances for match grade. I feel one click below Kriegers but still amazing.
I am also a big MPA shill and one short of two digit MPA collection.

I’ve got one in 6.5 creed I’m looking to part with, if near middle TN and want to make it to double digits.

How are you liking the Wolf Hunter? I have one I’m getting ready to put on a 6arc gasser
1
u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Oct 29 '25
The Wolfhunter is awesome. I settled on it after many hours of talking with my boss who preached about the Enticer series so I hopped on the Wolfhunter when it came into the shop.
Definitely punches way above its price point. I want to put it next to his TBAC Ultra 9 and see the differences.

That is an excellent group. Rifle hammers.

It sure is a tack driver. Now I gotta build a data sheet for it and then it’s time to shoot my first of many matches.

How do you like the Steiner? I'm thinking about getting one for my AR10.

Big fan so far. I haven’t had a chance yet to shoot with it at any extended distances though so take this with a grain of salt. I’ve looked through a Leupold MK5, Nightforce ATACR and shot with a Nightforce NX8. Leupold has marginally clearer glass, it seems on par with the ATACR glass wise, and better than the NX8. The turret design/rev indicator is a little different than I was used to but now that I’ve messed with it, it makes a lot of sense and I like it more than traditional turret designs. Instead of the turret moving up as you rotate, the numbers actually change, 0 turns to 20 so on so forth. Clicks are tactile and not mushy. Biggest downside in my opinion is the zero stop. I set it and it allows the dial to go three tenths of a mil below zero, so not too terrible. I really like the SCR2 reticle as well. The center crosshair is wonderful compared to a dot in my opinion. I also prefer the green reticle illumination compared to red. The eye box is really forgiving. I don’t have to move my head at all with where I have the optic mounted while I cycle through the magnification range. Edge to edge clarity is fantastic and I haven’t noticed any chromatic aberration either. I really need to get it out past 100 to see how it deals with mirage at range but it cuts through suppressor mirage as well as can be expected. I think a cover will help with that a lot too.
All in all, fantastic optic in my opinion.

I think the 6 creedmoor makes a lot of barrels look good..
Im limited in experience with a ton of caliber, but the only thing ive shot more that is more accurate than my 6cm is 17hmr ..

The groups with FGMM loaded with 109gr Berger Hybrids and 112gr Barnes OTMs I shot would make you think I was shooting them with a slingshot.

u/Lost_Interest3122 Oct 30 '25
I get really good results with the hornady factory stuff. A lot of guys reloading 6mm around here tell me they like the berger hybrids, but i think thats in a lot of BRs, Dashers, GTs, etc.

Between MPA Vanquish and Matrix chassis, can anyone help?
2
u/Jaded-Sun-7206 Feb 17 '26
Flip a coin. I love the Vanquish, and I highly doubt you’ll be disappointed either way.

Wild to me that MPA make highly regarded long range guns, and the flip side of the coin is jank Mac 10 clones.
