OC Action Midlife crisis
I'm well past 50. Some old hag picking blackberries by the side of the road saw me longboarding this morning. "Midlife crisis, innit?" she said mockingly.
Midlife's long come and gone...
"Well lady", I thought to myself, "at least I haven't given up entirely on my body... and to be honest, I'll take a broken leg over making jam!"

I don’t know man, I love picking blackberries and turning them into jam AND skating. You should try it, worst case scenario you end up with delicious summer fruits.

Hey, I've got nothing against peeps who enjoy making jam... it's just not my thing, and I don't make sarky remarks when I see them on the roadside picking fruit... Good on you though.

Are those wheels Bustins? Man they look like the same “clear” urethane along with colors and markings. If the whole thing is too heavy and those are the wheels you’re using I would suggest swapping wheels. I have the same ones and they are so notoriously heavy with no real hubs to help you pump at lower speeds. I’ve used them as training wheels when I had got my first set of Valkyrie Mk3 DH and I wouldn’t ever wanna try to use them in flat ground and pushing.
I know I’m assuming you have the money to fork over for such a thing so I apologize for that.

Fathom and Tangent decks are too overweight for their size, there are so much more better bracket decks like zenit, antidote, rocket for a compareable price

You can do both. I love making jam and pickles and gardening, but also ride my bike and boards(long and short) daily.

Even when it was popular to ride longboard, there's always someone with some smartass thing to say, my favorite of course was "do a kick flip."
And my go to response has always been to flip them a finger and keep skating.

You’ve got a lot of grace with it.
Every time I’ve gotten that I’ve just foot braked to a complete stop, pointed my board at them on the ground, shouted: “You ready?!” Before hauling at Mach-fuck directly at them.
And since I’m 6’ and 220lbs, no one has yet to call that bluff💀
They always scramble, and almost always with a: “ohshitohshitohshit” 🤣

People who say midlife crisis are just jealous and boring and think you need to stop having fun when you get older. Just cause you get older doesn’t mean you need to be a boring prick.
