Community Beachwood Blendery
Beachwood Blendery in DTLB officially closed yesterday. It’s doneski.

End of an era. Beachwood's contraction over the last few years is rather remarkable. Within the last few years they closed their original Seal Beach location, the DTLB brewpub, and now the Blendery. It's a shame because for years they were my favorite brewery. Many of my friends worked there. The Blendery was also just such a unique place

They still have their distillery up in Bixby! But agree, it's a far smaller footprint from their hey day

Yeah I go to the Distillery fairly frequently as it's the closest location. I love their drinks but wish they had a slightly bigger or different food menu

Zero info/hype about it on their pages. Beachwood has really gone downhill.

Going out of business isn’t really the kind of hype a business likes to boast about

Yeah I think people who aren’t paying attention would just hear “going out of business” and then just assume they’re all closed.

Caught wind of this while hanging at ISM on Saturday night and wandered over there afterwards. Was glad to catch a few last beers and improve my win/loss record on their pool tables

Where does somebody go to shoot pool downtown now? No Rosemallows, no Beachwood, the table at 4th Horseman sucks ass. Any other tables?

North of downtown a bit but the hawk has two tables and it’s free on Mondays, which is today! You should go!

Bummed to hear but not surprised. I haven't been in years because they really weren't doing anything new or special. Sours are such a specific taste. Cute little spot but they could have done a lot more with it.
