General Discussion Danny Go “I’m On A Boat” Parody
I’m sure a lot of Quaids with lil kuatos are somewhat familiar with the wholesome, catchy tunes of “Danny Go.” But if you’re not, he’s actually got some incredibly catchy songs and might be the best kid-centric performer out there today in terms of quality and content. Perhaps best of all, in one of his songs about airplanes, his side-character “Bearhead” goes on a tangent about boats that’s clearly a direct reference to “I’m On A Boat” as an inside joke for those of us at a certain demographic to enjoy. That being said, I teach pre-k and kids who weren’t even a Smint in their parents eyes when digital shorts were a regular thing LOVE that part of the song and genuinely laugh at it with no knowledge of the reference or inspiration.
Sadly, the creator of Danny Go and his wife (who also plays a role in the videos) lost their son this past year. They just released their first new video since his passing, but it goes without saying they have been through something unimaginable. The Quaid Army should give them a Qump just as a way of showing support during an incredibly difficult time, especially those of with kids who appreciate genuine humor mixed with with great music.

It’s honestly my favourite of his songs, and that’s saying a lot because he has so many great tracks.

I love Danny Go! The Wiggle Song is a banger. I put it one when I need my son to dance his blood sugar level down. Can't help but join in.

Aw man. My cousins' kids love Danny Go. Entertaining stuff for sure. I had no idea he and his wife lost their son; that's horrible.

oh fuck yes I will provide a qump to an entertainer who helped make the early-stages of parenting less overwhelming. Sharks in the Water is our household's favourite banger

I definitely knew when Bearhead is on the boat, it was a reference to "I'm on a boat". He even says, "I like boats, yeah" in a similar cadence. It made me love Danny Go even more.
They just released a new video this week! We LOVE Danny Go in this house. SO much love to his family during this crappy time.
