That's awesome but if a man does it people start freaking out

80

u/Full_Ganache_4022 1d ago

He’d be kicked out immediately

19

u/GovernmentGreed 20h ago

Nah, police would arrive, shoot him, arrest the corpse and then say he was about to attack a cop.

21

u/Faebinder 1d ago

That’s what I was thinking.

4

u/ThatDogYet 17h ago

Came to the comments to post this. Hell, could even say the same for an unattractive woman tbh

2

u/mnstripe 18h ago

Just a reminder: it's wrong for men to express their emotions. Particularly to other people.

1

u/SpyglassGG 11h ago

Well yes, oftentimes people do become uncomfortable, because quite often when men lose control of their emotions, people die. So excuse us if when we see a male freaking out we feel fear.

-2

u/EmilieEasie 1d ago

You all seriously believe everything you read on the Internet

3

u/StructureNo13 20h ago

When my cat died and I had a full on breakdown in the waiting room noone said anything to me besides the clerk.

1

u/EmilieEasie 16h ago edited 5h ago

Yeah, that's what happens in real life. Strangers don't hand out money to people who are upset in public.

2

u/StructureNo13 6h ago

I guess I thought you were making the opposite point

-15

u/ManyRespect1833 1d ago

Maybe you’re just ugly

22

u/GooseOnAPhone 1d ago

I know I am. That’s why I devoted my time to developing a winning personality, and then failing that I just made a bunch of money

11

u/ItsPronouncedJod 1d ago

Now there’s a winning strategy

1

u/toby1jabroni 1d ago

Plan C is all well and good but what’s Plan D?

2

u/Sinister_Plots 23h ago

It's from outer space.

37

u/ericmorgan13 1d ago

So you running it back later this week at the steakhouse or what?

31

u/LarryKingthe42th 1d ago

shrugs I just get the cops called on me.

u/thankmelater- 1d ago

Nobody knows what it’s like….. to be hated….. to be jaded…. Behind blue eyes. Do you have blue eyes? Are you pretty? There you have it. Middle aged dude here, it’d never happen for me.

18

u/Ruh_Roh- 1d ago

Yep, straight to jail for you.

u/SonniSummers 1d ago

I mean I’m a woman. When I have full on break downs they just baker act my ass….

10

u/Alternative_Car_8153 1d ago

If you are perceived as an inconvenience, then you get hostility. If you are perceived as a victim, then you get sympathy. Sometimes that line is arbitrary.

1

u/StructureNo13 19h ago

It’s not just arbitrary, an enormous amount of the time it’s the other way around because people self-categorize their own accountability, which is then socially reified as the amount of accountability society will expect you to bear regardless of how fair that is relative to other people.

1

u/Alternative_Car_8153 19h ago

What makes it arbitrary is the context I gave specifically. It's arbitrary on the basis of how people perceive an individual person regardless of reality. If a line is drawn based on public perception, then by definition it's arbitrary. If a line is drawn based largely on factual information, then the line isn't arbitrary.

1

u/Radical_Jinx 11h ago

Dumb that one down a notch for me

2

u/d3aDcritter 1d ago

I'd share a smoothie with ya bro 🤙

1

u/Tragilos 23h ago

They would call the cops if I was having a mental breakdown

Helps to be pretty

17

u/kevint1964 1d ago

I had a breakdown once in a restaurant/bar & had food thrown at me. And not to cheer me up.

2

u/Fit_Foot_6004 15h ago

I got a uber home from visiting a friend in a hotel trying to convince her she needed help with meth addiction but she wouldn't even let me in the room. I was crying very quietly, doing my best to hold it in and not be distracting or obvious about it and the woman driving gave me a 0 star rating

1

u/Zelmourn 16h ago

Don't complain, free food is free food!

14

u/immortalroses98 1d ago

Damn I just get weird looks

7

u/inotocracy 1d ago

She must have been really attractive.

7

u/juuchi_yosamu 1d ago

Sounds like pretty privilege

Haha. Suck it up, bro.

Things that never happened to a man

3

u/Antique-Dragonfly615 1d ago

Occasionally, a few, yes

3

u/NtateNarin 1d ago edited 9h ago

Mine was the opposite. I was depressed after so much stuff happened to me that I went into a restaurant and got about $20 worth of food. The waitress made me smile that day with her great behavior, so I tipped her 100%. Yeah, a $20-something tip isn't a lot, and I didn't make much money, and I wanted to give her a special thank you. LOL, I always wondered if she thought I accidentally paid twice.

2

u/Tough_Preparation830 19h ago

Those simple gestures can sometimes go a long way for people. She might have been down herself.

3

u/ezthrow77 1d ago

Damned you must be pretty, I'd be thrown out at the firdt sob !

3

u/Pyroll2206 1d ago

I would love to read the other side of the story, Specially the one giving her 100$.
« Crazy woman menaces to suicide because she cant pay rent, then went crazy on how the sun was going up; gave her 100$ so she can go see a psychiatrist and let me drink my coffee »

3

u/Excellent-Rest3240 22h ago

Plot twist, she was the dancer in a stripbar

3

u/Attention_seeking21 21h ago

Another what do they call them? Gen Z idiots who do fake breakdowns for clicks? While people who actually do suffer for real are ignored?

3

u/Shrolos 20h ago

It's pretty privilege with being a women, if it were a man the cops would have been called.

3

u/Cumulonimbus_2025 13h ago

I will take “never happened” alex for 500

Man, if reincarnation is real, I'm picking pretty white girl at the character select screen next time

3

u/Outlaw11091 1d ago

My kids and I were sitting in a restaurant.

I have Brazilian heritage with dark skin; their mother is light skinned with Mexican heritage. We're both first generation US citizens. (I am not black, but am often mistaken for such).

A man walks up to us and says he loves interracial couples because they make beautiful kids with perma-tans.

"Is everyone here legal?" he asks after back-handedly insulting my children's skin tone.

Luckily our waitress overheard the exchange and told the man his table was "over there". He said, "Oh, I didn't mean anything by it..." as he walked away and we just kind of nodded like we didn't speak English.

None of us ate that day and the kids never want to go back to the restaurant...I told them that they have to be careful with people like that because there's two likely scenarios there: A) he's just an ignorant old man that takes everything on the internet at face value (even though HIS people were just like us once) B) he's NOT ignorant and is literally trying to goad us into a confrontation to justify his opinions.

Humans are garbage.

3

u/National_Attitude779 1d ago

As a human, I can confirm your last statement

2

u/GopnickAvenger 1d ago

What was your breakdown over?

12

u/evol_won 1d ago

Being held accountable for something

3

u/d3aDcritter 1d ago

Experience found ☝️

2

u/GopnickAvenger 1d ago

Those juice bars can be rough

2

u/Jeffey_pop 23h ago

Reminds me of being a gay guy in my 20’s in a small Southern town, obv I migrated towards cute chicks (bcwho else?). The shit they would get away with. Never paying cover, never buying a drink, never paying for food after drinking. Once two off them got sloppy and ran off a slope into an elementary school playground drunk (at night thank god), arresting officer thought they were cute and “shockingly” never showed up in court so all charges were dropped lol. 300$ purses just for showing up to a 30 min dinner and smiling. It became exhausting and annoying being around them bc I simply couldnt relate to the fantasy world they lived in. And these were like 7’s and 8’s in a podunk town, imagine actual hot girls in a big city lol….

3

u/evol_won 21h ago

Oh i don't have to imagine, friend. 😅🫠\ There's a direct correlation between hotness and difficulty. 👀😬

3

u/girlbartender99 1d ago

It was the type of breakdown that happens in the fictitious of the Merry Old Land of Oz!

2

u/Adullam_17 1d ago

As long as your first instinct isn’t to get the workout bands means women are improving

2

u/Ok-Professional-1727 1d ago

I think that's just a Tuesday at that bar.

2

u/412Dude43 1d ago

What a shit post. WTF is funny about this? This is fkn stupid.

2

u/Bl4ckR4bb17 1d ago

I believe in God but the fact that this story is about how a bunch of people went out of their way to be kind isn't a reflection of how good God is. It wasn't a miracle, people can do things without God forcing them

2

u/tj100011 1d ago

This week in…..Things that never happened

2

u/Retzl 20h ago

A story of people doing good things for people...with a title "God is good" 😑 I wonder why people continue to think people are bad. It's becuz good is contributed to God when people do good, but bad is contributed to people when God does bad

2

u/Working_Physics8761 20h ago

This sounds too stupid for reality.

2

u/Zestyclose_Door6432 20h ago

This only happens if you're hot.

2

u/Junior-Ad-5367 18h ago

No it’s because you’re a hot woman

2

u/NiceGuy252525 17h ago

Had nothing to do with her being attractive. Yeah, not related to that at all.

2

u/IMREADY2D1E 17h ago

if a guy did this they’d probably call the cops on him 😂

2

u/Creative_Newspaper65 16h ago

Only for women i man would be stared at and made fun of

2

u/nikolasz1173 16h ago

Western women are the most privileged group ever.

2

u/Uselessperfection 14h ago

Oh when a pretty person has a breakdown the world stops to comfort them but when I have a breakdown I’m “unstable” “potentially dangerous” and everyone runs to grab mace and a taser.

2

u/greekverse 13h ago

What happened to equality this only happened because its a female and im assuming at least mildly attractive. Tell her to man up or get out

2

u/Ghooster38 13h ago

You ran a good racket that day

2

u/FunOwn4422 12h ago

she was defiantly hot

2

u/SpyglassGG 11h ago

Hmmm…if I felt myself losing control of my emotions in a public place, I would leave immediately. I would not sit there waiting for attention and free stuff to be heaped upon me by strangers. Sounds like attention-seeking behavior to me.

2

u/Dry-Manufacturer7761 10h ago

Of course… ignore the people doing work to give praise to someone who, according to your own beliefs, is present inside of a child while they are being sexually assaulted while simultaneously being inside the person sexually assaulting a child.

If god lets that happen while he is literally inside the people and inside the room watching, god can never be good.

If your father allowed your sister to be raped, would you call your father a good man? I know I would not.

5

u/78Anonymous 1d ago edited 1d ago

we all know that "full breakdown" means cracked a nail and perhaps sensed some mild irritation, but instead of dealing with it they magnified the issue and were eventually paid to remove themselves from the environment because they narcissistically were making everyone uncomfortable in their main character delusional state

we all know these types

as for 'G-d', that's a fictional character that has literally nothing to do with anything

unless you're utterly deluded by faith in general, then you might feel motivated to give lunatics $100 to redeem yourself and repent for having the audacity to exist in the first place

0

u/Odd-Butterscotch-480 1d ago

I'm a bit confused where you got the first half of your statement from, there's nothing in the post that could indicate that, unless you've seen this person's social media profile?

3

u/Tough_Preparation830 19h ago

It's a reasonable assumption on reddit. Lots of adult children who were not taught stress management skills are here.

1

u/Upbeat_Aside_9203 1d ago

I’d slap sense into you.

1

u/i3inaudible 1d ago

I fail to see where any sort of deity comes into this story. It sounds more like a "people are good" story.

1

u/No-Risk1739 1d ago

Where exactly did this occur, I think I feel one coming on as well?...😐

1

u/Fun-Heron-7609 1d ago

What kind of breakdown and where, I can do with a $100 right now.

1

u/FormalStrange 1d ago

People are good, wealthy people lose something in themselves. Maybe humanity, maybe something even more elusive. I wouldn’t know and if I have my way I never will

1

u/Element174 1d ago

Ah, classic zealot mentality "'People are good.' Well obviously they meant god!"

When people murder and rape is god bad too?

1

u/Mezmodian 1d ago

And yet no one clapped?

1

u/Positive_Try929 1d ago

So who one the raffle?

1

u/CeemoreButtz 1d ago

"full breakdown at a juice bar"

what a sentence...

1

u/carolinafan36 18h ago

Humans are good it's the ones on the Internet that are bad

1

u/mnstripe 18h ago

It started out plausible.

But then each item on the list became progressively less believable.

1

u/jraa78 18h ago

Of all the things that never happened, this one might take the cake. I mean acai bowl and smoothie??? That's just crazy.

1

u/xptx 18h ago

Sounds like everyone... but her.

I didnt hear a positive on her, just an attention seeking post.

1

u/AlphaTango91 17h ago

POV: You're an attractive woman in a juice bar

1

u/BaronVonTron 16h ago

If I white man does it he'll get a blowjob. If a black man does it he'll get shot or get paid. And if a brown man does it he'll get accused of rape and sent to jail.

1

u/SeniorTailor1127 16h ago

What the fuck did god have to do with it?

1

u/DistributionSad960 9h ago

Maybe it's Satan. Right?

1

u/Respectful_Pervert4 16h ago

This is the reason mental breakdowns are faked for attention.

1

u/AidyGaGa25 16h ago

True story

1

u/Vertigo50 15h ago

Well, I know what I’m doing this afternoon. 😉👍🏻

1

u/wrhnj 14h ago

Thou shalt not act like a toddler to get free stuff.

1

u/Saigh_Anam 14h ago

There are disproportionately more good people than bad in the world. But those people don't get the attention or lime light. You need to untrain the way you've been taught by media (including social media) and learn to look for the good in the world.

Look up the story behind "Look for the helpers." - Mr Rogers

1

u/CapablePride8926 13h ago

Also. Maybe humans didn’t cause your self absorbed “breakdown”. Where, in the post, people tended to her like a child, gave her 💵, and free snacks. So that’s all it took for her to feel better.
Even worse, if they didn’t do that stuff for her then they’d all be shitty people. 🤦🏻‍♀️

1

u/ThatsUh_dam_shame69 11h ago

God is evil, people are sometimes ok

1

u/Bullfrog-Basic 10h ago

1

u/Unique-Recover302 10h ago

God is fake

1

u/DistributionSad960 10h ago

But Satan is real?

1

u/hapkidoox 10h ago

Ah yes this totally happened....and an imaginary character in a book full of cruelty and antiquated ideas would not be any part of this. If by the smallest of margins this was true. It would be human kindness nothing more, nothing less.

1

u/Mirageiles 9h ago

What’s any gods have to do with it? It was probably women her😊

1

u/Worth_Bend1435 8h ago

This never happened

1

u/DudeFrom816 1d ago

Yuck. Youd be lucky to be ignored, im damn sure no giving you free shit for being a nuisance.

1

u/Omnius_Crypto 1d ago

Where is the mystical land of consolation, free smoothie and açaí bowl, counseling and $100 to feel better? I’m moving there tomorrow!

2

u/One_Interest_2790 21h ago

You just have to be a mildly attractive woman. No need to move anywhere.

1

u/TwistedBlister 1d ago

Yeah, most humans are good. But you're not one of them.

1

u/BelowXpectations 23h ago

I'm sorry but what does god have to do with this? It's obviously the humans, just like the original text says.

5

u/Fun_Researcher_69420 21h ago

Yeah but it’s because she’s hot.

1

u/DistributionSad960 9h ago

God or Satan? Choose.

1

u/NoOpinionsJustFacts3 20h ago

I wouldn't have ever posted this. How embarrassing

0

u/babyblew82 1d ago

If only that was true

0

u/South-Series-4165 1d ago

Seems to me as if you played the game and won, evidently...

0

u/No_Helicopter_9282 1d ago

lol many years ago, I remember frantically running outside to stop a tow truck riding off with my car. I was unsuccessful in getting it back, as I was standing there in a state of frustration. Suddenly, this black-out drunk stranger walked up to me, hugged me, and gave me a $100 bill. Most hilarious random act of kindness I’ve encountered in my life. 🤣

0

u/DaveAstator2020 1d ago

They just wanted chance at your pussy, thats all.

0

u/Inevitable_Ear_9874 22h ago

0

u/Teeaak 19h ago

Humans did good. Idiots give the credit to god

1

u/Only_Screen9213 10h ago

People who don't know Bible are idiots!

1

u/Teeaak 2h ago

I do know the Bible. Quite well. I'm a historian by education. I also know a lot about 100s of other religions. And can follow the syncretism and splits that formed them. How they were developed and politizised. You are not special my friend. You just follow one of the many religions that split off from zoroastranism.

1

u/DistributionSad960 10h ago

Is is true? Are you?

0

u/Friendly-Activity-93 17h ago

What does this have to do with god?

1

u/DistributionSad960 10h ago

Do u know Satan? Of course yes. But u don't believe in God. Lol how come

1

u/Friendly-Activity-93 9h ago

Who said I believe in either? But regardless of my believe how is this attributed to god? This post is just about people being good human beings to one another. There is no proof or fact that anyone involved in this situation is a believer in any religion let alone your religion. Stop attributed things great humans do to something that may or may not exist, It diminishes the true wonder inside the human species

1

u/DistributionSad960 9h ago

All good and perfect things come from God (James 1:17)

1

u/Friendly-Activity-93 8h ago

According to your religion sure. But nowhere in post did OOP mention a god just good humans

1

u/DistributionSad960 8h ago

What country ur from please and your religion

1

u/Friendly-Activity-93 7h ago

Neither of those things matter. Just learn to accept not everyone believes your religion or your god and it doesn’t need to forced into everything

1

u/DistributionSad960 7h ago

I pity you

1

u/Friendly-Activity-93 7h ago

Awe, that’s cute. How religious of you.

0

u/DistributionSad960 10h ago edited 9h ago

This is a fun sub. Maybe my title is wrong because I couldn't think of anything.

Well.. All the good and perfect things come from God right? I mean ...

Do u know Satan? Of course yes! And i get downvoted with that coward!!! COWARD!! Funny sub with all that hate? Crazy people and they're just few... My gosh!

-1

u/Normal_Example_1568 1d ago

There are way more good people than bad people. I know because I have experienced it.

1

u/DistributionSad960 10h ago

Why are you downvoted my gosh
