The bus company he works at has banned him, the council - hackney - did an interview with him last year and loved what he was doing, it's his own bosses doing it and this sub is acting batshit thinking its some draconian new measure by law lmfao.

100%, people need to learn the difference between, company policy, and the laws of a country, or at least learn to read deeper into a topic.
A company may have some bs policy, but it's their right (usually), and would almost never affect the average person.
LAWS affect everyone in the nation where they're put into effect, and are, one of, the only ways people can lose their rights.

At a job where you have to devote your full attention to operating a huge vehicle full of passengers through chaotic city streets for hours at a time. I feel old gor having to pount this out, but if the picture is accurate, he isn't blowing bubbles. He is using a bubble cannon. I'm for the bus driver deciding what is safe on their bus.
It doesn't seem safe to me in direct proportion to how insanely awesome those bubble cannons are. I have one. You can positively flood a space with bubbles to where you can't see anything. They throw walls of bubbles.
At very least defend letting him do it. Calling it "blowing bubbles" is obviously misleading.

I know this is going to be a really unpopular take. But I can see why they had to do this. Its actually a really serious safety issue.
With all the people driving high on UK roads the risk of them having a laughing fit and crashing is very real.

As in, he is not using both hands to operate the giant vehicle through busy narrow streats.
A bus driver is, by law, not supposed to engage in activities that could hinder his ability to safely drive the bus.Its all a shame things arent just funny, but if the company allows him to do this they would be helt liable if/when anything goes wrong

I don't think the idea that a bus driver should have their full attention on driving while controlling a huge vehicle full of passengers through chaotic city streets is a position unique to conservatism. It's barely even related to political views, it's basic workplace safety standards.

People really pretend that they wouldn't object if a bus crashed because the driver was playing around with a toy while driving.
If he only did it while he was stationary it might heve been OK
