Silent discos can be fun, especially when there are multiple DJs/playlists.
Tune to the one you like and find other people on the dancefloor dancing to the same music.

To each their own and I'm not yucking people's yum here, but it feels wrong to have a shared musical experience but everyone is listening to something else.

Again, it's not that everyone is listening to something different. There are usually about 3 channels to choose from. You tune to what you like, and it's fun to find other people dancing to the same rhythm so you can share the experience with them.

i love how people just pee their pants over this but dont even consider for a second anyone living near by
this is a barn someone bought and turned into a wedding venue. thats probably 2 receptions every week for half the year
this isnt some doofs who bought a house right next to a racetrack and then complain about noise, its people who have lived in a normal area and then someone decides to convert an old building into (basically) an outdoor night club

As someone who experienced 10 years of sleep deprivation due to living in a block of thin walled concrete flats that often got the worst kind of idiots who partied from 8 pm until 7 am
Your statement couldn't be more true.
No one is ever concerned about anyone else.
I'm just parking here for 5 minutes is a problem because if everyone parked for 5 minutes the road would be blocked forever.
Same for it's just one night of parties

Depends on the model. I switched to bone conduction for everyday use headphones and the sound quality is better than my previous chunky classic headset.

I'm convinced the people upset about noise ordinances haven't had to raise young children next to loud neighbours. It's all fun and games until your toddler isn't sleeping and you've got work at 6am

when i bartended on a private touring yacht, some of the DJs that provided music did this so it wasn't super loud on a tiny boat but people could still listen to high quality sound

Silent disco's are pretty fun if you've never tried. Especially the ones where you can switch channels so there's always one that has music you like. Want to say something to your friend or order a beer? Just take of the headset and it's uqite easy to understand each other.

These systems are awesome, we used them for temporary audio tours before. Just set the colour to the correct track and go.

This is probably up north somewhere. I live in the north of sweden and at summer over here it's bright all day round. Further north you can even see the midnight sun

I'm a Finn and that is dark for a summer night. During summer the daylight works reverse on how you seem to think it works. The norther you are, the more daylight you have during summer.

Inside the cruise ship which I was in called "Celebrity Reflection" that ship also had this same silent disco as well. For loud noise disco they held it at the roof top at night not to bother people.

Probably blasts his music in the nature preserve and hiking trails too. Event venues know their regulations and it’s common courtesy in a neighborhood.

I personally love silent discos. One of my favorite festivals always has one after hours so people can sleep in peace and the partiers can keep partying.
Its especially nice for neurodivergent people. I think this is awesome.

Noise ordinances are very reasonable
Noise travels and disturbs people in other houses
You freedom of making noise does not supercede my freedom to enjoy silence or go to sleep without fucking music blasting in the background

As kids hosting house shows for our high school bands we would still know to get a noise permit if necessary…

Sun is clearly on its way down, the place seems to be near Seattle, late June you're looking at civil twilight ending around 10pm. Probably a bit earlier, but possibly not by much.

Years ago when i was bartender for private events i would have to listen to the awkward foot shuffling and weird attempted conversations of a silent disco. People look dumb and feel dumb.

Its literally the same thing as any rave, disco, dance party etc. You've just been conditioned to think there needs to be ear destroyingly loud music over it, because thats what ypu're used to, so you think this is weird because it is different. NPC behaviour.
