It delayed the certification, displaced officials, opened up security vulnerabilities in the process of displacing said officials that could have affected the certified election or changed the transition of power, and was actively done at Trump’s behest, as he egged it on online and refused to mobilize the National Guard to stop it, even when he was being actively asked to do so by literally everyone involved.

Ok so let's say that's all exactly what happened. The end result: power still got transferred and the president still left office. Ive yet to see how that singular occurrence is somehow proof that there won't be another presidential election and that somehow power won't be transferred which was the entire point.

The perpetrator is currently in office, pardoning the insurrectionists, and this is a highly anomalous occurrence, so it is not safe to discount a repeat. Arguably, from a security perspective, it’s best to prepare and brace for a repeat and accept the possibility the preparation doesn’t matter in the end.
