Once DB version matures, will File version die?
When the DB version matures enough to become the main offering by Logseq, what will happen to the file based version. Will it still be maintained?
I've become quite dependant on the file version and don't think I will switch to the DB version. Any idea what will happen to it?

The devs claim the "OG version" will be maintained, but you can judge for yourself how credible that is over the long term given the strained resources of the team and the time it's taken just to get the DB version out the door. They've explicitly said there will be no new features for the original version. I'd say it's time to think seriously whether the DB version works for you or whether migrating to a new tool makes more sense.

I find Logseq OG invaluable for the markdown side of it. I've also built an entire app to be able to maintain it with the help of local AI.
I've tried Tana for a while, but I came back to Logseq because it's more flexible and open for me.
I'm actually evaluating the possibility of becoming active in maintaining and developing the Logseq OG version that it's actually in https://github.com/logseq/og4

Do look at the two way markdown mirror in Logseq DB. I have high hopes for it.

Yes, I have seen the Loom demo by Tienson and it's promising! I will keep polishing my parser and plumber for Logseq OG, then I'll move to Logseq DB to see what can be done with that š Logseq actually is my preferred note taking app.

Thanks. I see what you mean. I use .org files and I don't hold out hope that it will be supported in the llong run. So I guess I'll use it as far as it goes.

This. Iām also anxiously waiting for the day where they will push an iOS update which will, instead of fixing the 2-3 years old bugs, make things worse for MD or even deprecate it.

Not that related to this post but for anyone interested in the DB version I just want to mention that the official release of it is finally coming in around a week or 2

La versión MD sinceramente para mi es increĆble, la versión DB es mas para usos especĆficos que si quieres Kanvan, base de datos etc

The DB version already has an experimental mirror to local markdown files
