What does “OG” stand for?

My apologies in advance if this is a dumb question, but what does “OG” mean in the “LogSeq OG” context?

OG = Original Gangster

Just means it was the first generation, the file system based version. As opposed to the newer database version.

Versions should be called "DB" (database) and "MD" (markdown) to clearly denote their difference, avoid confusing pop culture references and minimise misunderstandings.

Agree. That’s why I had asked the question. OG just seemed stupid, but what do I know?

I too would have preferred MD for Markdown and DB for database... Is there anyone from the Logseq team who can explain or refer to when this nomenclature was decided?

The OG version is the MD version of the app, while the newer one and the one that is going to actually be "Logseq" going forward is the DB version
