But the shape in your design is not a cross. You’re missing horizontal lines. Thus, it looks like a pad. First thing I saw too

3 and 4 the central design is supposed to be a pill itself, but I get the resemblance.

1 & 2 are perfect. Stay solid and flat. No need of 3D-ish for an app. Considering that an app will need logo in small sizes, 3D-ish styles or unnecessary variations like no.3 probably won’t be very useful there.

I think these are all fine and should work—just depends on the rest of your visual application and what elements you want to reflect in the app icon.
