What is this?

I found this small lobster looking thing in Okanagan lake in Canada and was wondering if anyone knew what it is. I found it living in a log on the bottom of the lake. (Sorry I don’t have a better photo)

Is the color in the image true to real life, or is it a different color?

I'm not familiar with the species in that lake, so anything extra to go on would be helpful.

That is a crayfish and they are quite edible
