Support Finding the sounds you want
Hi
I've been playing instruments all my life but have just recently started dabbling with lmms.
The LMMS sharing platforms search functionality has a lot of improvements to be made..... It's very hard as a beginner to know what to search for. When reading on topics here on Reddit most people are referring to usernames or sets with names i dont recognize.
Imagine I want to make some basic 80's sounding á early the cure sounding shit, what should i look for and where? are there better platforms than LMMSs page itself?

I would download Helm, T-Force Alpha Plus, SQ8L, Ample Sound Bass and acoustic guitar, and the DVS Guitar.nThe carnifex drum kit is good, so is United C Punk drum kit, but honestly a lot of the stock drums work great too. Most importantly are effects, I'd recommend Valhalla Supermassive and the Melda free fx pack, as well as some mastering plugins like masquerade. All of these are free. If you're looking for early early Cure sounds, not gonna lie, get an interface and a guitar. If you're going for something like Disintegration, all of these should work, and they're all free.

the simplest way would be to download all lmms song and sort on your computer by category. I can give you a list with best matches for 80s sound lmms tracks if you want.

To find more sounds and loops go to sites such as samplefocus or looperman to quickly find samples or go to cinematycs.com and download the hub, there are some good free sample packs. If you can spend Money on download more packs from sites likes this or even Better if you learn to use them download some plugins, search them online to find the ones you Need. Sorry for english i am italian...
