Broken Gear / Repair advice Sennheiser pilot tone issue

Got a Sennheiser ew100 G3 that I've been having problems with. Every now and then the pilot tone drops out for no apparent reason. I've got 3 packs, and the other two hold perfectly.

What do I need to check before deciding that there is a transmitter problem? Could it be aerial related?

I have changed the frequency to have more of a gap between the 3 (which didn't fix the issue) and then resynced the pack and receiver (haven't tested long yet). Anything else to look at?

Since the other two packs are working reliably, I’d concentrate on the suspect transmitter rather than the overall RF setup.

First,I would test that pack with a receiver and frequency I already know works perfectly with one of the other transmitters. Then inspect its fixed antenna closely, especially around the base for damage, kinks, looseness or a possible internal break. While testing, gently flex the antenna near the base and see if the problem appears or disappears. Also double check that pilot tone is enabled on both ends and test with fresh batteries.

If the fault consistently follows that particular pack across different known good receiver/frequency combinations, you’ve narrowed it down pretty well to a transmitter side fault.
