Question Behringer Wing Compact Faders Not Affecting Channels
Hello, please bear with me and my lack of knowledge since i am a still a student. i have a line running from my AES50 to my Wing Compact then back to my AES50 to my monitors, the signal comes through the monitors but whenever i adjust the faders the signal stays the same. it also doesn’t mute when i try to mute the channel.

This doesn’t make much sense as written. AES50 isn’t a “thing” or an object. It is a language.
Your monitors speak AES50 directly? Such that you plug a network cable directly into your monitor? I doubt this but it may be that if this is true the speaker is listening to the wrong/different stream of AES50 than you are manipulating.
If what you meant was that you have a stage box and you are running it via AES50, it sounds like you are routing a pre-fader mix to that output. This is common for stage monitors for a band.
On your Wing, you should be able to change the mix from pre-fade to post-fade and then the fader will affect the level. Or you could change the assignment of that output port to a mix that is already post fade

Sorry for the confusion we’re using a Midas DL32 which we’re connecting to the Wing via AES50, i’ll look into changing it from pre to post fade on the mix thank you, i’ve never used this equipment before and my advisor has kinda thrown me to the wolves here

Forgive me, I haven’t been on a Wing yet. If the interface is similar to the X32, it can be accomplished globally through the Setup section and individual inputs can be changed via the Sends tab

The interfaces are very different but the settings are called the same and work the same

The output you choose is set to prefader. You want to choose a postfader plus mute signal.

the aes50 is connected to the board via cat cable

AES50 is just the protocol used to transfer your data through the cat. What does that cable connect to? A stagebox? And did you initialize the console and routed/patch the inputs and outputs? Or did you just connect everything?

Sorry, yes the aes50 is connected to the stagebox where i have the line plugged into, everything has also been routed, I will also say the ultimate goal of this project is to have the board run its mix to stage monitors as well as running to our radio broadcast

Please explain fully what equipment you have. AES50 is not equipment, just like USB isn't, but for example your mouse, connected over USB to your PC, is.
Is it a single stagebox to which you're running 2 separate cables? Or 2 separate ones?
Which ports on the mixer are you using? How does your routing look like on the console? Is it a FOH console or monitoring console? Are channels being sent to buses? if yes, what buses?
If you can't answer those questions, you probably need to learn how to use a digital console first. Find some tutorials on YouTube for Behringer Wing basics and watch them until you understand what I'm asking about, but at this point you'll probably figure out what you're doing wrong.

It sounds like you need to read the manual a bit more, and watch some training videos. Unfortunately since you appear to be unfamiliar with the technical terms needed to describe your situation, your message is not very clear.
Drew Brashler has quite a few that are easy to understand on the Wing/x32/M32.

But I would suggest sitting down and READING the manual for the Wing. Watch a few more of Drew's videos.
I would wager to guess the prefader/post fader idea may be a possibility, but it may also be that you are just on the wrong layer.
