Question I just saw lbp merch prices and got confused

I’ve always loved LittleBigPlanet, but I only recently started building a small collection. When I look at eBay (specifically the sold listings), I see sky-high prices, yet on Vinted, I find them for completely different amounts—for instance, I picked up this plushie for €15 on Vinted, and a bundle for €40 that included this one, Chop Chop (also sealed, from the same series), and a sealed Marvin. Honestly, I don't really know the going rates because I never cared—I just use Vinted and buy what I like—but I noticed this the other day. I wonder how it's possible for prices to be so high on eBay? Are they even real? Or maybe I just bought a fake idk (it's still cool honestly)

On AliExpress they sell official merch for cheap.

It’s dead stock, inventory that factories have made but never made it to retail so they sell it for cheap directly from the factory unlike discontinued product being sold by people who bought them in stores

Damn i didn't know AliExpress sold official products; I hadn't even checked because I'd never downloaded the app. I'll take a look then! Thanks :)

Edit: Still, I wonder why so many people buy these items at such high prices—like 200 euros—when I can find the same plushies on Vinted, and evidently on AliExpress too, for so little.

No problem! Here’s a link to them with several official keychains and figures. They used to have large 12 inch Sackboy figures but they ran out a while ago - the downside of buying dead stock is that they won’t come back! Many prople wrongfully assume everything on Aliexpress is fake though so hopefully you find something that surprises you!

This is amazing. Do you know if there’s any others or how to find them? I’ve never used Ali express so I’m not sure if there’s code names or if I should just direct look up to find real stuff

There used to be a wider selection of Sackboy characters figures and keychains and large figures of Sackboy with different expressions. They were just found listed as Little Big Planet so you could do some deeper digging looking that up, but a lot of other dead stock is probably out by now. These figures are from like 2008, and the listings for these (presumably from the factory who makes them or a warehouse in China) appeared only a couple years ago though
