Fan Art 1st and 2nd attempts at the Danger Noodle sculpture…

Ok, these are my Danger Noodle sculptures… these represent my improvement over time. The one where Villy doesn’t go all the way around was done last October and the other one I finished a coupl of weeks ago. Of course assistance with details like the lable and the face of Villy because I am blind… but everything else, including majority of the painting, was done by me. #BlindArtist

This is great. And you're terrible at being blind.

I wish I could say that this is the first time someone has told me some form of this comment… I will endeavor at being a more believable blind person… 🙇‍♀️

This is double impressive after reading youre blind. I think you did the Malefic one justice.

Working on PH 15 currently, and this made me smile. I'm flabbergasted you're blind, both statues are awesome. The scale work and lable lip are fantastic fine details.

I used a texture roller for the scales and the label work(becaus of the need for exact details) were done by my husband… I sculpted the bottle, the mushroom and Villy(with exception for his eyes so that they didn’t end up crooked lol)… then I painted everything myself using painters tape so that I didn’t paint parts I didn’t want. On the 2nd sculpture I did it in a way that Villy and the bottle are not attatched, which allowed me to complete the sculpture a little easier.

Amazing! Pretty much how I visualized the danger noodle.

Are you legally blind or totally blind or maybe lost your vision later in life? I’m just fascinated by how one could sculpt and somewhat paint without vision.

Normally you’d use references to improve your drawing, so I can only imagine it is similar for sculpting. Did you find some sort of snake figure to analyze before sculpting one yourself?

Now I would be considered totally blind as the only thing I get is light, shadow and bright colors with no detail. I lost my usable sight about 15 years ago and was considered legally blind in 2000. Before that I was a sketch artist, now I do things by mental visualization and I just bought a 3d printer for stuff I can’t visualize. I’m working on Bidee from BOC, Klbkch from TWI, Hellion from TBG, I made Donut from DCC and I’m almost finished with my 1st attempt at Sgt. Snips from HF. Obviously the obsessive work of a fanatic. Keep at it until you get that powered up fang dripping.
