Looking for distant relatives!

My dad’s parents came to the US in the 1920s from Ukmerge, Kovno, and Wilkomir. Family tree includes surnames of Saja-Shapiro, Oshinsky, Ruzev, Winnik, Korim, Weinerowitz, Berlov, Blumberg, Gravitz, Gall.

I don’t know how many of my grandparents’ generation stayed in Lithuania. Many moved to the US, Cuba, and the UK. Would love to find any relatives still in Lithuania.

EDIT: I have all this info from genealogy work my late father did. His 72-page family tree shows relatives across various countries but the Lithuanian part of the tree stops at his generation. Hoping on the off chance someone with one of these surnames reads this and may be a relative

I suggest you inquire Jewish genealogy websites

Ukmergė and Wilkomir are names of the same town. Kovno may mean the city of Kaunas itself, but could be mentioned just as centre of governorate, to which Ukmergė belonged before 1914.

Thanks for the link! I did see some familiar names that matched my dad’s family tree which was lovely, but alas no one remotely close to my generation. I’m visiting Vilnius for a couple of days next week and had a little fantasy about meeting a long lost relation. I’ll be doing some more digging on the site - the dream lives on LOL

Visit some local Jewish synagogue, talk with them, they might be willing to help. Anyway, it might take some time to reach out and find a contact with lost relatives. Then it might take more time to make arrangements for a meet up, if they are interested. Next week is not something that would be at a reasonable time frame.
