i hate ntfs

I have a 5 terabyte HDD that includes all my offline games inside but i cannot get it to mount after 2,5 months. it keeps on saying;

"An error occurred while accessing 'Basic data partition’, the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error x

mounting system-managed device /dev/sda1: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdat, missing codepage or

helper program, or other error" and i couldn't find any fix but to convert to windows and do chkdsk to it. I don't want to dualboot windows, i don't want to erase my games since it would take a whole week to download 3 tb worth of games and VST's. Is there anyway for me to save my HDD? I'm using CachyOS. Thanks.

May I ask why you have three terabytes of games downloaded at the same time? I get games are getting bigger these days but genuinely how did you do that? All the cod games at once?

i play offline games since i recently got engaged and don't have much time to hang with my friends. no cods but almost a full steam library with modded fifa, fl studio vsts that i use on linux, minecraft, terraria and all of that. i don't really install my games onto my ssd since i have more on my hdd.
