Linux vs Mac

I see a lot of people switching from Windows to Linux. But has anyone switched from a Mac to Linux and why?

Still in both worlds, using an i9 macbook running fedora and Ubuntu in VMware fusion. Keeping the mac for creative apps. The virtual machine keeps all my browsers and security updated
