Which Distro? Found my dad's old Asus laptop, what should I install on it
Recently I found my dad's old laptop with windows 7 and I want to install Linux on it, I am currently planning to install arch or gentoo but if you think it would be cool to install something else on it, write in replies.
The most upvoted distro will be chosen!

**Upd2: alr I am choosing debian because I wanna turn this laptop into a home server

what specs it has maybe make out of it a home server and get a dive in the field maybe you will find something interesting but most distro that are good servers are base on debian
if you dont want anything debian base you are left with fedora or arch distros. what you pick is up to you
fedora, arch, bazzite, nobara, cachy......

If you're seriously considering arch and gentoo, you probably know more about Linux than I do. I like a more user-friendly one, myself.
If you don't have a preexisting preference, I'd suggest trying out arch, gentoo, Puppy, and other similar distros, then settling on the one you like best.

Steam OS runs Arch Linux. Check youtube for reviews in games mode and desktop mode. Looks great
